General Douglas MacArthur was not the president of USA. He was a 5 star general . He was the COAS of US army ( 1930-35). He came out of retirement during the second world war. Was the supreme commander of the allied forces( far east) the field Marshal of the Phillipines army. He was a soldier par excellence. His famous quote- soldiers don't die they simply fade away.
I think he got confused between Eisenhower and McArthur. Eisenhower was supreme commander of allied forces in western Europe and he later became President of USA .
Imperial Japan cause lots of havoc on korea. But after that japan adopted pacifist policy . Now china and Russia are claiming their islands. That's why massive defense budget. India should always maintain deep cooperation with japan and israel. We can learn a lot from these two countries.
