- From Kala Patthar, the helicopter fly north to Khumbu Icefall 180° turn south at Everest Base Camp where you would be able to get a closer view Khumbu Glazier, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pulmori, Ama Dablam, Lobouche and many other mountains. It's quite difficult to see Everest because it is the furthest mountain tucked between all the other mountains. It will then land at Pheriche.

Looks like a mountain... I think elevation its very hard to show in videos.
Yup. Imagine the height of Mt Everest is 10x the height of Burj Khalifa. Imagine in and around Khumbu valley there are over 30 mountains, 13 of them is over 6,000m. Some of the mountains are behind other mountains. From Lukla to Everest Base Camp which is 50km, you can view mountains after mountains, left, right, and front.
Lovely video. Are you talking about Lobuche? "Low boo shay"? Flight is more like 20 mins to EBCand 20 mins back.
Thx. My bad on mispronunciation. The entire Everest journey - Kathmandu to Lukla airport to Kala Phattar landing then heading north to EBC before turning south to Pheriche landing. Then to Hotel Everest View to Lukla airport to Kathmandu. On flight is slightly over 4 hours whilst on land at Lukla, Kala Phattar, Pheriche and Hotel Everest View is slightly over 1 hour. We encountered a bit of turbulence, which is expected.
Part 3 would be the view of Everest and there is also another bonus part - WIP.
How long staying at ebc
It will only pass EBC. There is the EBC at the lowest level and then EBC 1-4. I don't think they allow to land. It is meant for hikers. I watch all the Everest Rescue TV series that came out in 2017-18 and I never heard tour can land at EBC.
What a waste of fuel and pouring out of polluted engine exhaust. A drone would have taken better videos without the interference of helicopter blades.
On the hindsight, the drone will have the experience, not you. Sure, drone would be awesome IF one has something like $30,000 to S100,000; seasoned mountaineer in good health and has the time to hike Everest or any of the other surrounding mountains. Subscribe to my channel then I can buy expensive drones 😊
Flying drone is regulated. Many countries (point of entry) impose permit requirement when bringing drone. Nepal impose permit at every municipality you intend to fly the drone.
DJI Mavic 3 combo ($4,500) can fly 30km (Lukla airport to Everest is at least 80km return). A 1TB SDXC card ($350) storage 3+ hours 4K 60 fps but battery can last 1.5 hours.
No punt intended; this is not the channel to be opinionated on political agenda.
Bahaha a polluted engine... stfu
who cares...
A five hour flight?
I don't think so.
The helicopter private tour I booked was 5-6 hours stopover at Lukla, Periche, Kala Patthar and breakfast at Hotel Everest View. About 4.5 hours on-board minus the 90 minutes stopovers.
There are other variations and price ranges. Check it out with any tour operator websites for bookings.
