Today in the dust free cities, you can easily go a month without taking a bath or a shower as you can in the forest where dust is at a minimum. People still do use eggs to wash their hair and it's very healthy for the hair.

Couple things here coming from a historian and archeologist and Park Ranger that centers around the "Wild West" animal fat soap also contained lye, milk, and flowers is better than the detergents based soaps today, teeth were healthier because of less sugar in diets so debunking the whole bad teeth part there because of less cavities. Most barbers were trained in dentistry, in fact "Doc" Holiday was a dentist until he contracted TB, yes there were painkiller! Opium, laudanum, canniboids, and cocaine were used. The period of the "Wild" West actually covers about 50 years post Civil War to 1910 so a lot of technology came out in this time. People also bathed as much as they could. The dust issue came about mainly during the migration of Western Expansion on the Oregon Trail. and during the seasonal planting it was not a constant. Also wearing long clothing was needed because no sunscreen or bug spray which also kept skin cancer down.... In short do some better research guys
