  • Like the waves of the ocean, experience is always changing, and we are constantly faced with challenges and obstacles. In the face of this change, the practice is to cultivate an inner resilience and to recognize awareness in the midst of the turmoil. When we do so, the challenges we face become supports for our spiritual growth; they become an invitation to recognize our basic goodness. In this teaching, Mingyur Rinpoche discusses the importance of patience in this process and how it can aid us in developing our inner resilience.
This teaching is from Tergar’s new The Way of the Bodhisattva: Essence online course. To learn more, click bit.ly/3j1uXEb
In 2021, Tergar Community and Mingyur Rinpoche will start a year-long The Way of the Bodhisattva transmission that offers a series of online courses and retreats that focus on this teaching, with an emphasis on modern-life application. “Letting go” is the same as “letting it be”. Let it be okay that you don’t have the solution. Let it be okay that you are feeling some type of way. If you are reading this. Don’t give up. Persist

How is letting go and don’t give up in the same thought?

    • @daiszaib

      @@Fullyautomagic hey Dylan,
“Letting go” can be quite confusing. It seems to imply giving up, throwing in the towel, calling it quits. It isn’t so!
Attempt to see “letting go/ detachment” as letting things be as they are…if you can allow things to be, “letting it be okay” that things are this way…you begin to allow it be so, and you stop resisting it.
ALLOW yourself to feel that kind of way! Recognize that it is so normal and natural to feel that kind of way. I find that once I allow myself to feel however it is I am feeling, it quickly dissipates…
This is where persistence comes in. Put in the work, whatever that work may be, and be honest with yourself and your efforts. If you put in the work change is inevitable. If you feel discouraged and feel confused about letting go of something even though you are trying to change it, allow yourself to feel that way.
True persistence is knowing that your change is inevitable, no matter what the facts tell you, no matter what reason and this world denies. Not only can you have whatever you want in this world, you can have EXACTLY what you want in this world my brother.
I hope this helped, please lmk if you have more questions

@@daiszaib high five girl 🙌 To build up, I would say letting go means to stop grasping. When we grasp, our view is like a tunnel. Limited, only focusing throughout one angle. But with letting go (not grasping), we open again ourselves, and can have a wider view. With a wider view comes a better understanding. there our mind becomes flexible, spacious, clear, and able to see opportunities. Instead of the rigidity of a grasping mind like.

Om Mani Padme Hum'. Please allow me to interrupt. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. In Pidhauli (Vaishali) the local deity is Bardiha Baba. Bardiha means the Baba who didn't allow us to stay where he was staying. Bardiha Baba is the Buddha no doubt because he didn't allow the crowd of Lichavies to stay with him in Bandagama. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. I just wanted to impart this information to Buddhists. Thanks.

About Vajrayana Buddhism- I realize Lakhisarai District of Bihar is the birthplace of Vajrayana Buddhism. It seems through Vajrayana, Tibetans preserved the history of Lakhisarai and the surrounding villages for which Bihar will one day be grateful. The villages around Lakhisarai town were the homes of great Buddhist Maha Siddha’s like Padmasambhava, Tilopa, Naropa, Atisa, Buddha Amitabha, and Dakinis like Mandarva, Niguma, Sukhasiddhi and many more. Special importance is the village of Sahur mispronounced by Tibetans as Zahor. Sahur village has a Dakini temple which is definitely Mandarva who was Padmasambhava’s first consort. Two Km east of Sahur (Zahor) is Dhanari lake with an Island which is definitely Lake Dhanakosha. And three km southeast of Dhanari Lake is Urain village which sounds similar to the Urgain in the Tibetan seven line prayer to Padmasambhava. Both Urain and the Tibetan Urgain mean to fly. Sansar Lake is definitely the lake where Padmasambhava was freed from Samsara. There is a temple called Jora temple with half a dozen Padmasambhava stone statues that are ditto Tibetan Thangka paintings of him. These have been compared by Tibetans.

Second comment.. I was do regular circuit fitness exercises (push-ups, squats, crunches etc) I found that when I was really sore during a particular exercise, I was remind myself to "welcome the pain", not block it, or struggle with it. Next I would feel the purpose of that body part moving, "foot goes, foot goes down, press up, press down, breath in, breath out". I would do this at times of struggle because it is high intensity exercise where I want to give up because it is not easy. Usually I just grit my teeth, clench my body as I am trying to push through the pain. But I thought of your meditation, and instead let it flow by, and focused on the movement and "welcomed" the pain each time. There was a big difference, the pain attacked my mind less, and made me feel less like giving up. Welcoming the pain, and letting it flow on, rather than me block it out was massively different. Believe it if it made no difference I would not have kept using the meditation while I was exercising, but it did help. Well thankyou for your videos, you are clearly what you say you are with NO EGO or false intentions. Take care and I wish you a good and happy year!

I have something to say.

These have been compared by Tibetans

so.. I have been cleansing my body.. it's been about 3 years of solid misery.. until I found this information from you.. HH the Dalai Lama and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy.. I am still going round and round and up and down... pretty much whether I like it or... not.. I don't... and.. it seems sometimes no matter what I do I still hurt or itch.. or something even less pleasant.. you had dysentery, that's what my morning this morning was like... this is after dark now.. it is my first opportunity to listen to this one again.. thinking... maybe I missed something 🤔... through the entire process, during such occasions I close my eyes and.. 👀.. try to find the problem inside.. sometimes it hurts too much 💔... but just being quiet.. helps..
thank you Master Rinpoche 🙏 Peace 🙏✌Namaste

Mingyur I did the meditation today. I did the monks hands with beads. I have to write a message. I m writing a short story on the apostles. Each month an apostles birth childhood meeting Christ apostles ministry. Lots of research but not difficult.
I am 78. I am so BUSY I don't know what to do. I cook to eat healthy. I write and crochet to stay busy.
In the meditation I couldn't find the space. When I started to sing it. I was in the space Orion shot me with his arrow three times and I was trying to talk to Quan Yen then suddenly I was in a prayer circle in space I was with clouds of stars and stardust trying to sing the meditation. At almost the end I was speeding down the corridor past the heaven of the Greek gods and straight into Quan Yens parlor. She was wearing a black kimono with bunches of little red flowers on it. She was having tea. She said you're going to be famous and smiled. The monks hand music was over but today something else was attached. A person was in the meditation position levitating about 5 feet off the ground then a spinning disk then just om and the striking of one tone on one bowl. I asked for the message nothing. So I went to Adi Shakti. Mantra .message Revelation 12. Didn't write it yet.
My heart and chest feel so much better. I didn't realize sometimes I m too tense to breathe. Plan to make a point of doing it three times a day. Thanks.

    I needed to hear that
My life has become challenging in the sense of how many incoming messages can get in there at once.
Also my material life is jam-packed full of what's illegal and what's immoral. You know I live in the hood. Quan Yen has suggested gently that meditation will help.
She is only asking 10 minutes but I feel so pressured by the illegal and immoral I m having trouble with it.
You know my boss the Living Sun the Lord of Heaven's Armies gives me a message everyday to give and He is clarifying the message with a second message.
He is blessing me favoring me and I almost have a prosperous life. I thank Him every night but I don't want to make a mistake.
Could you please send the music with the monks hands on the prayer beads and the music from the nun in the red robe.
What can I say I m the baby prophet. When things grow what can you do?

Your holiness. I do research on Vajrayana Buddhism in Bihar. You should visit Kajra in Lakhisarai District of Bihar. Kajra has been mispronounced in various ways by different ancient Tibetansn. Kajra was mispronounced as Kagyu, Kajra was mispronounced as Jagora in the Tilopa story, and Chakthani as Chativavo, In the Vajravarahi story Kajra is mispronounced as the pure land of Kijila, in the Shambhala story Kajra is mispronounced as Kalapa, and the Jhana river was mispronounced as Jonang school of thought. Kajra has several dakinis as deities, and next to Kajra is Narottimpur village where Naropa stayed when he was northern gate of Vikramshila. Kajra is the victory band around Atisha's palace, and near Kajra are two villages with Tibetan names. They are Marpa Khurd and Marpa Kalan in the name of and incient Tibetan called Marpa. Next to Kajra is the Kalchakra stupa where the Buddha imparted the Kalchakra teachings. And next to the stupa is a huge mud mound which has the three dimensional Kalchakra Mandala. The lovely part the area around the Kalchakra Mandala is in Atisas name. Your holiness, you should visit Kajra in your life. Because the concept of the Dalai Lama being an incarnation of Avalokiteshwar started on the Potala hill which is just behind Kajra town. Close to Kajra are Urain mispronounced as Urgain in the Tibetan seven line prayer. Northwest of Urain is Dhanari lake which Tibetans call Lake Dhanakosha. Southwest of Dhanari lake is Sahur again mispronounced as Zahor by Tibetans. Sahur/Zahor has a dakini temple who undoubtedly is Mandarva. Please view the video, ‘Padmasambhava’s life in India. (2)’.
