I genuinely believe most of these just have their own style but it can't be denied that Amber's childhood bullying clearly caused trauma that severely impacted her in later life. She has quite literally covered what was bullied. Without her tattoos, she was uncomfortable and admits to feeling like a teenager again, the teenager that was bullied. Never bully people.
i find it strange when people wear clothes just to "be different" how about wearing clothes that you like? i am a goth myself, but i dont think people who dress "normally" are boring or plain. people are just people. wear what you like, dont wear clothes to make a whole life statement or to stand out lol. i just find that wild

All of these people are beautiful before and after makeup. I'm 55 and learned a long time ago what it feels like to lose yourself. So I say you be you and always stay true to yourself. Stay beautiful inside and out

I just watched another one of these. I find it odd that the partners or best friends have never seen them without makeup. No sleep overs? No after shower? No swimming? Sounds very sad to me.

I myself experience bullying, mental disability, self abuse, depression, ADHD, etc. And i too had the mindset of going to slice my tongue or going to have my tongue, ear, eyebrow piercing because it affected my mindset without knowing it could destroy me, but i tell myself that it won't change the way i am so i didn't. It's not about belief in God nor Devil. This is just about the battle of mentality.
Watched a couple of these so far.. seems like the boyfriend's face shows how much he loves the new look, though since the girlfriends don't like it, the boyfriends say they don't like it despite looking like they loved it upon reveal lol.. people should just be honest, who you love should look great to you no matter what they're wearing.
Most of them just looked shocked. Being shocked, and smiling doesn't mean you like it. If those men actually like it better, then they would have dated someone with that actual style.
Some of these people were rude about the clothes. I don't know why they accept to make the transformation if they know they will be disrespectful when saying they don't like it. No one has to like it, but at least respect it.

Makes me sad because a lot, not all, but many of these people cover themselves up and distort their bodies due to trauma and as a reaction to their insecurities. I’m glad if they’re happy, but I feel like for many of them, it (tattoos, piercings, cutting their tongue…) will never be enough and they keep on adding more as a way to cope… I just hope they find happiness with themselves down the line.

Anytime I see these people I feel sorry for them. Their pain is so obvious. Most of them have had trauma early on and have this need to try and hide behind their ridiculous hair and makeup and outfits. Sad. They are all lovely people inside.
You are so far from the truth. Just because someone looks different does not mean they went through trauma. I dress and look similar to the first girl, and I had an amazing childhood. I make straight A's in school, I have a wonderful job< I have great family relations, and I am very active in the church and my community. There is no more brokenness or trauma in these alternative communities as there are in normal communities. Your closed-minded values are toxic and dangerous please learn.

She's GORGEOUS under the monster makeup! I've watched several of these goth to normal makeovers, and I would love to know what happened to these girls to make them hate their own faces to the point that they hide themselves completely under the heavy goth makeup.
Amber is absolutely a stunning young woman with or without tattoos. All my children are tattooed even two of my grandchildren are as well. My mother, myself, my daughter, and granddaughter all got tattoos on the same day. Tried to get my nanna for first e generation tattoo session but retirement home said no to the outing due to her health problems 🥺

I like how in America someone is free to explore themselves in terms of style or personality at a young age. I’m in my twenties and still contemplating on how to transform from normal to exactly who I see myself as in the inside.
The artist are excellent! And the transformation look beautiful! It's the wigs, it's like they gave up on styling the hair after devoting time on covering the tattoos.
Really good wigs are really expensive and since they do so many of these it’s kinda hard to afford so many. Also they probably won’t look good if the person already have another hair color. But I agree with you.
I am soon to be 48 w/ only 5 tattoos but I want to start covering my body. I've had so much illness the past 7 years and my body has been put through it. Right now the biggest thing holding me back is $$$. I am a blank canvas and I'm waiting to be completed.
