It's interesting to see that Already the battle was won spiritualy, when David spoke and said I come in the name of the LORD .the other part was just a formality 😂
"Boy, sit down." "I got you." And as far as I remember, all David was there for was to drop off lunch for his brothers! The reason the battle had been at a stalemate was (according to "Sergio and Rhoda In Israel") that the first team to cross the stream where David got his handful of rocks would be at an automatic disadvantage- at that time of year, it would be flooding! One part that really gets me is earlier in the story: Saul lets him try some of the armor on. (verse 32) David be like: "I can barely move in this- but (verses 36-37) I don't actually need it." [progress into the video at about verse 42]
I always thought David asking Saul to go fight Goliath was such a kid conversation. Sails like “stand down kid, don’t you have some matchbox cars or something?” And David says “I can do it, I guard sheep all the time.” Then Saul basically says “ok kid, it’s your funeral,” and puts armor on David but it’s too heavy so David strips it off and finds some pretty rocks.
Contrary to popular belief, David wasn't a young kid. The Hebrew word used to describe him is "na'ar" which is more comparable to the English word "knave". Basically he could have been anywhere from 16-25 just inexperienced with war. As for the stones, slingers were an actual part of an army. Basically they would launch cannonball sized stones into the enemies' armie. A lot more effective against shields than arrows. Not trying to be "that guy," but it's important to not embrace watered down stories.
@@thelastshadowpigz yes a boy was below the Israel selective service age of 25 but we have some clues like the armor being too big and heavy for him. This suggests a younger teen to me. I do have to disagree with you on the sling issue though. The Scottish had a weapon kind of like you are describing but it was an area weapon for use against a line and the entirety of the sling was released, these are also people who threw logs at enemies, but the idea that David found 5 8lb rocks and put them in his pouch seems pretty unlikely, can you image 40Lbs of stone in a pouch hung off a belt made of rope! Also although Goliath was a big guy a cannon ball sized stone would be to big to sink into anyones forehead. It would crush a head. A Shepard’s sling was a small game weapon, true they weren’t pebbles but closer to golf ball size is likely. If you have ever used an actual sling you’ll see that too big of a rock and it is way to hard to swing, the knot would be difficult to hold between the thumb and forefinger and the finger loop would be quite dangerous. It is likely the reason David carried the sling was to get birds and small animals for his lunch, too big a stone and your lunch is ruined. Notice when he described protecting his sheep from predators he doesn’t mention his sling, and instead says he seized it by its fur and “struck it,” if a sling was typically considered adequate for dangerous game hunting certainly the safety of a ranged weapon would have been preferable. Notice how slings aren’t mentioned anywhere else in the Bible as a combat weapon. Bows, swords, knives, shields, and spears are. The reason David slaying Goliath was such a big deal is that killing an enemy combatant with a Shepard’s sling was a miracle and that degree of force could only be achieved through the power of God.
I love this so much, I am a 13 yer old struggling with following/obeying god. I been a Christian all my church and I go to church very often but i would say Im a little over lukewarm with Jesus and these skits just makes everything better. Is there anything anyone can tell me so I can get over my fear of God coming too soon because over the past few days i have been struggling with 'what if its too late' 'what if i hear depart from me as i never knew you" Also thank you !!
If you have to ask 'what if it's too late,' you are "not gonna be late." I think all Christians feel the same from time to time. But if you're worried, it means you're with Him, and He never ever leaves you, nor will He forsake you. Keep yourself in the Word everyday and just talk to Him. He hears your prayers - and collects your tears in a bottle, did you know that? I'll wave at you in the cloud as we both speed our way up in the Rapture. You're good! Oh my gosh, I didn't realize this was a year old... ! Hope you are well and God bless!

Legend is that David had 5 stones for his sling because Goliath had 4 brothers. David had smoke for all of them.
Goliath had 4 son's, just as big as him.
And they all ended up dead by David's greatest Warriors! 🤣🤣
It's Biblical, not a legend.

Best part was it wasn't even a slingshot. It was a sling. Dude put a rock in some cloth and still flung it so hard and accurate it took him out
But at close range (i.e. within 200 m or 700 feet) it would be comparable to a .44 Magnum!
This young man is HYSTERICAL!
"It's the slingshot for me." 💀
the everything a dollar store
But seriously- within about 700 feet (200 meters) it would've been as bad as a .44 Magnum!
