but China looks likes this...Where are all the homeless people?
I've searched multiple cities throughout China and found none.

I have been all over the USA and have noted the place is slowly collapsing day by day. But there is NO shortage of money to pay bribes and to spend on military equipment that obviously did not impress the Taliban.

Where are all the homeless ? they are living in apartments. But in America/UK they refuse to build more affordable housing in order to drive up prices and the zoning laws are outdated. Citizens in China doesn't really pay any property taxes, hence the old homes they have in their own towns can pass to new generations without any property tax, and they stay with their family forever hence they all have homes in China it may not be in cities but in towns and villages.

@Brexit Greens homes in China doesn't come with property taxes, hence it's really their own home. Not like west where we get yearly property tax bills they do not have such system. The taxes are mainly pay for by businesses and income taxes for those middle class wage earners. It's literally a social system, the wealthy pays the taxes for almost everything. If you are poor or those working small entrepreneurs in China you don't pay any taxes, no need to file them either plus no property taxes to worry about on their homes.

Germany in particular is the saddest of them all. While I lived there in the very early 90s it was like a utopia compared to the USA. NO trash on the streets, NO homeless people anywhere, NO open drug use in parks, Totally safe, etc, etc. So depressing to see what it and a lot of W. Europe has become.

Chinese government won't keep idle people, except those who can't work such as the elderly or the disabled. I've heard of developed European countries like Luxembourg and Switzerland, government gives money to citizens every month, and they can live without working. Maybe they just want to live as Luxembourg people，but not every European country is rich like that😂
Plus if you are disabled and homeless, the Chinese gov actually does try and find relatives of this homeless individual to take them and all living expense will be paid for by the gov while in their family care. Kind of seems better than sending off to gov run asylums. 😂

At Rundle Mall at the heart of Adelaide, capital city of South Australia, I see homeless people, their sleeping bags and trash everyday. Sad.
True. I was there for two weeks 14 years ago. I traveled around and I did not see any homeless people. Been to several countries, all of them have beggars and homeless people.

China has no homeless because its more expensive to be homeless than with home in China, may be that could be the reason why they have no homeless. If you are homeless, you have to pay for your life which is my assumption. :D

中国有流浪者，乞讨者甚少，因为有救助站。流浪者则大多是一种生活选择，原来的犀利哥就是选择流浪，他本人是富二代，近几年还有北大流浪者，名下两家公司，选择流浪。当然还有精神失常的残疾人，这些会被收容，然后送回原籍街道看护，街道或者村里会给一些补助。
现在疫情期间也不允许流浪了，这些人大部分被收容或者回到原籍了。
小时候我就看到挺多流浪汉的，但是站在很少了，多的是好吃懒做的乞讨者

There will be no homelessness in Chinese cities because:
1) Cultural reasons, unless you are disabled or too old, society (parents, peers, friends) expects you to find a job and contribute to your community. There is a stigma for someone perfectly fine to panhandle
2) The government also has affordable housing to house the homeless people, so they have shelter and won't be on the streets
3) Many homeless people are able to move away from the big cities to establish themselves in smaller towns or villages. There is never a lack of land to farm. The biggest downside for the countryside is, of course, the lack of opportunites and infrastructure of the cities, but still better than being homeless.
China has many "homeless" people at least same like homeless meaning, they are called "啃老族“. Why you can't see them out side is because they are all living in their parents home. It's about 儒家 culture .

It's simple. China has passports for living in cities. You have to demonstrate you have sufficient financial and moral standing before you get a permit allowing you to live in major cities. This means that people who aren't financially capable of living in large, expensive cities won't be able to. They end up living in smaller cities and towns where housing is far cheaper and sometimes subsidized so they don't end up being homeless. This way everyone is at least able to have a home and contribute to the economy in their own way. Allowing people to live in places beyond their means is a recipe for homelessness.

That's not true. You don't need any license to live in any city in China. The residence permit grants you the following rights or privileges:
1. Send your kids to a local school.
2. Gain access to social insurance, medical insurance, and some other public service provided by local government.
The other uses of a residence permit only provide convenience, such as reporting tax or registering marriage, you could do those without a residence permit too, just different processes.
If one insists on living in a big city where he/she can't afford to buy a house, the local government will provide special apartments for such people to prevent them from being homeless.

Well the US and UK outsourced practically all manufacturing jobs to China. So more jobs in China compared to the US. That explains at least part of the problem.
The biggest problem with US history is , the have never really based their economy on export . The car industry have never really exported around the world . they have sold for ford and general motors , but they where mostly built abroad . The biggest exported items are oil and gas . And they don't even come from the USA , they come from Russia and all around the world through US companies .
In China, most people have their own houses and farm in rural areas which was distributed by the government for free. if they can't earn money in cities. They go back to their farm. I think that's the root why there's no homeless in China.
Ive been in China for 12 years and can confirm there is (almost) no homeless people. I will usually see 3 or so in a year and I explore many many cities.
i prefer being homeless with some degree of rights than to be homeless in china with no rights and no privileges.

I remember that when I was little, so about 15 years ago, when I was living in China, there were homeless people in the trainstation, and some beggars. Now I live a little in Europe and a little in China, I can't find any homeless anymore since many years. But in europe there is homeless people everywhere, from the parks to the center, from the station to the street. I'm really sorry for them.
