Learn about your Airstream’s controls for the solar panel, generator, inverter, tank and battery monitoring panel, and water heater, plus the coach’s power control system.
One thing he does not mention is they're actually three batteries in the unit. Two house batteries and a chassis battery. These gauges don't really tell you which battery is giving you a certain voltage. The only way I know of to get the voltage from the specific house battery is get underneath the RV and use a meter.
Does anyone know where the actual inverter (not the control panel for it) is located in this unit? I have the "Fault! No Comm" message. The manual says to pull the cable off the inverter than put it back on to reset it.
The magnum is the inverter/charger, not the battery. It sounds like you have a fault error occurring. You should be able to look it up in the manual. What you give you some idea what is going on.
In my 2016 (exactly like this one) All the Lights and everything work fine if you're running off the alternator (diesel running). But with city power and generator power everything just gets dimmer and dimmer over about an hour. Then it just shuts down the auxiliary battery. Does anyone know if this sounds like a bad battery.
@@swoolf1431 The batteries solved most of the problems. But I also had to replace the solenoid which was causing a "fault no comm" error. I found it on Amazon and was able to replace it myself. $75.
@@richardk7379 How long do the auxiliary batterys last if you run the TV, fridge, fan, coffee maker? Im curious how long i can go once i get new batteries in mine before i need to recharge..
@@swoolf1431 I only run those things when I'm plugged in. I don't think these rigs are really made for boondocking very much. I haven't pushed it. There is not a great way to tell exactly how low the battery is. I try to prevent it from going below 50% on the screen. I have just heard that's not good to deplete the batteries real far.

He also should have mentioned that it is best to be running the chassis engine when you start the generator.
Thank you! Helped me fix my in-laws tvs

Answered my own question if anybody needs it. The actual inverter charger is under the back seat on the driver side.
Decent, thorough vid. Would like to see the updates for 2019 user interface
My magnum battery for the tv is blinking and I cannot turn the tv’s on

I replaced the house batteries. I am hoping this will solve this problem.
What did you find out? I have a 2017 and just ordered new coach batteries.

We are having trouble starting the generator...batteries are at 100%. Does that matter?

Try cranking gen after cranking the engine. Just let the engine idle when cranking the gen.
Can I run Generator rolling down the road?
George Wrape absolutely it’s designed so you can enjoy all the benefits of cooking, fridge, AC, furnace, etc all while rolling down the highway.
