Build 2 Giant desalination stations and you never have to worry about water for your fuel production. I have 2 which is overkill but 1 provides water to my city and farms plus graphite production because I use the brine from it. The other one feeds my huge fuel production facility, a shout out to JD for his experimental project that was untested, but it does work, I had to add on a few modules for Rubber, plastic and acid production, but it's an amazing build.
I also interconnected the brine tanks in case I needed it for graphite production. Arc furnaces are not built yet but they are coming. I have a failsafe built in to prevent stopping the desalination if brine is full I just turn on pumps and dump into the sea, like burning gas at the refinery.

That ramp to the oil is going to take ages - it's pretty deep out there!
Very nice Oil build, was following the design on twitch, and this version is again greatly improved with the Fuel Gas to Diesel cracking and the saltwater water supply.

Nice setup, although I'd personally put the refineries closer together. You can make a nice, repeatable brick out of two of each stage mirrored. But that's just me, someone that is terminally out of space always :D.
No need to make a coal bin for your start-up boiler; the trucks will direct feed it long enough to get the system running just fine.

I think the best way to handle oil processing is to convert all excess diesel and nafta to gas, then to Hydrogen. This will create self-sustained oil processing by fueling boilers with hydrogen, and water recovered from hydrogen + sour water. On top of that you will have a lot of hydrogen as fuel to supply other boilers, and don't have to worry that system will get jammed, due to excess of diesel/nafta/gas.

Literally, two hours ago, I was thinking "there has to be something better than just burning off my Heavy Oil." Now I have a plan. ETA: By "burning off", I mean generating steam, not flaring...

Was here looking for a blueprint string and was sad it didn't exist. Why not?
Because it takes a lot of time to make blueprints for every build for every episode. Patreon supporters have access to all Save games and can grab any build blueprints from there
@@Nilaus dragging a blueprint box over your final build and pasting the string 'takes a lot of time'? It's fine if you want to just say it's to help promote your Patreon but not sure I understand the time being the factor.
@@altkev It is not the upload as such that is time consuming but there are quality standards Nilaus is committed to. And the community could show their gratitude by doing the upload work. Why should Nilaus do all that trivial stuff in addition to the great work he is doing?
I'm begging you, please add your blueprints to Captains Haven.
Almost all the blueprints on the site are botched in some way, it'd be so nice to have some decent blueprints to work with.
I have interest in that. I may do polished blueprints at some point, but I generally don't make blueprints from my Lets Plays. All builds are available in the save games available to Patreon supporters, so that is the way I share them for now. It was a ton of effort and not a lot of people use them
I find it easy enough to take a screenshot of the layouts from the video. I end up changing things a bit anyway.
Also in this game I don't feel the need for Blueprints. The Cut,copy and paste features in this game pretty much eliminate the need for blueprints for me.
Why do you ask Nilaus to do things that everybody else could do as well, including yourself?
Sera el gran trabajo que haces??...,porque para mi no lo es!!!.....haces videos sin explicar como se conectan entre si,pero vas a tu bola!....un tutorial pauperrimo que selo me he quedado sin conbustible y sin saber como hacerlo la refineria!!....pasas de todo si quieres mi like y tambien que te siga seria bueno que lo expliques mejor.....estoy desde el iniocio con la construccion me da pena decirlo pero tengo que hacerlo explica mejor el paso a paso es facil pero si buscas popularidad alla tu!!!.....mi isla quedo un desastre muchas horas tirando de tus tutoriales y nada no logro subir siempre me quedo en la mierda!!....que pena para mi como principiante; voy a trabajar otra isla pero esta vez sin ti!!...y sin tus tutoriales ;prefiero a DJPlays el es mucho mas consiso asi que tu te quedas y yo a la mierda!!
