    With the range thing, this feels a lot like a throw-back to the old City Building games published by Sierra. Though I think I liked their "walker system" more. You were still managing the "ranges", but you could also affect them with road blocks et al. Not sure yet which is the better mechanic. This general range/radius, or the walkers. Thoughts?

    Hello Nilaus Think about burying your trash under at least one tile of dirt or rock. If you have too much exposed trash on the surface it will count against your health. In my playthrough I eventually went back and dug up the top few layers and burned it in the incineration plant and covered the surface, but had to move around what I had built on it while doing that.

    I have an idea for a game mode that would make factorio more interesting .That there be a human ,personnel , component to the game .That research be dependent on this .Maybe certain factory functions as well .That the player needs to rescue from or in drop pods that are randomly landing on the landscape ,map .The story that a colony ship is in critical orbital decay .Rescue the personnel before the biters get them .Even if there is a days countdown to the first drop pod so that helicopter is research if starting from scratch .Then protect the personnel in the factory via air filtering .That the player has a helicopter to winch drop pods up from the danger zone .Would this add a new and better dynamic to the game ? Looking forward to the new game planets anyway . I never play with cliffs .But platforming ,terraforming a factory concrete platform .What about overhead belts ?

    19:00 *Attenborough voice* and here we find quite the fine specimen of gamer: the factory game player, in its natural habitat. They live off of order and pre-planned builds, something which is shown by how large the factory is. This one is beginning to show signs of that most insidious parasite: the circuit-shortage worm. Many a factory game session died from such a shortage, but, in most of the population, it leaves the survivor alive but paralyzed and deeply injured. Truly a fate worse than death. This particular specimen seems to be a strong male, capable of feeding itself just nicely. Many others with the ailment are fed on junk, impairing their natural ability to battle the worm. A healthy diet will hopefully let this fellow survive his tribulations happily.

    If you build multiply hot air then they have to be touching to get a bonus for them otherwise you are wasting air and power and you dont get the bonus

    Thank you for this master class. It is definitely a neat idea to use the bus for mall. But why only for mall? In one of the playthroughs I attempted to use it for everything and basically restricted the use of logistic stations only for raw resources. Then you would have to use multiple layers and consider scalability of throughput. Also it would be interesting for design to be recipe agnostic. meaning that it would easily adapt to any recipe changes which may be introduces to game in future. This also would allow to ignore currently known recipes and not to plan around them.

    Hehehe TY god, i was not the only one who had trouble finding out how to set the hot air for blast furnace. I did waste a solid 15-20 min scratching, banging my head to the wall, why it is not want to work. They for sure need to fix it. The catwalks on the building are way too thin to navigate. Kinda horrible design. Also had to demolish and rebuild the hot air stuff multiple time cause of bad building placement. Solid 1 hrs wasted on this process. -,- They need to make better job on the item description in the help menu cause u can build like 5 stack tall the hot air producer and nothing telling u, u need to use 1 in and 1 out or 5 in and 1 out or what. -,-

    I think the blast furnace is really cool as an endgame machine, but I do agree with you on the production boost thing and how it isn’t worth it for the cost. I think there should be some late-game resources that should be added that can only be processed in a blast furnace like Wolframium.
