I don’t know why I am absolutely infatuated with the Tudors. Thank you for your channel.

I’m the same, I think of how I would handle living in that time, but that’s what makes it so great.

My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Caywood. After researching and dna testing I found my Cawood ancestors!

My last name is actually Cawood and I have been to the village of Cawood
My family pronounce the name more like Kaywood

Very interesting Sarah. Thank you 👍
I wasn't familiar with Cawood prior to this video. I was familiar with the arrest of Wolsey but hadn't made the connection between Cawood and Wolsey.
Very sad hearing of castles been left to decay, especially those so important to Tudor history. The English Civil War period was a terrible time. Cawood sounds like quite the sight in it's heyday.
That little street scene of York was gorgeous, looks so historic, charming and compact. Reminds me of something you would see in an old Christmas card.

I want to say at Cawood Castle for a week at some point in the future. I think it would be interesting to walk through some history.

Great video, thanks. The size of the ceiling timbers in the gatehouse is incredible. They built those places to last.

Great video but you pronounce the village, KAY-WOOD.

    • @baskerville101

No, I live here and am on the council. Certainly Kay-wood. It would be akin to me calling Hampton Court, Hanton Court, just because I didn’t live there.
