    So many reviewer says about how good the dinghy is, you are the first one who say the original is too small and uncomfortable which is true to people with larger feet. Impressive!

      Dinghy is definitely a great minicruiser, but as minicruiser it isn't inherently comfortable haha

      Dinghy rider here, it's a great board but a lot more fun in a dense urban environment than it is in a straight line. I've done 10-mile rides on bike trails on mine and had a good time though I can cover that distance a bit more comfortably and faster on my bigger setups. On the other hand those larger setups are nowhere as nimble as the dinghy is in tight quarters. I'll skate around the place I work at and it's mad fun to rip around corners on it. Anything that small will be less comfortable to stand on than something bigger would be but that's just the nature of the form factor.
      I'd say that if you are considering a Dinghy it's definitely worth having one in your quiver.

    That is one helluva initial review. This should be the baseline for other channels when they do an initial thoughts. Appreciate the thoroughness. I have to try that trick of inverting the roadside bushing to improve turning. I'm new to this and never heard of that.

      I skated street and ditches with a little down hill in the 80's and early 90's , I've been watching some long board and down hill videos , It's a whole nother world , all sorts of different bushing and riser arrangements , tiny trucks ,big wheels , reverse king pins , 43 degree trucks on the back , 50 degree on the front . I want to buy a new board but I'm so confused. Also I'm old and lost my balance especially pushing can't afford to fall down .hurts to much. Anyway I just want to roll around a bit and hopefully carve some parks , never had the opportunity as a kid , looks like fun

    Another Definitive Review Man, Love it!! And really it makes me wonder about trucks not exclusively on Dinghy but probably like any other top-mounted boards out there.
    (Concerning Traditional Trucks)Do you think that having a setup the same concept as comet cruiser where it has angled risers, harder bushings at the back truck('cuz of dewedging) and softer in the front will make any Cruiser/ATV board ride more lively and fun while
    maintaining stability. Like that Tugboat by LY, will it be good if upgrading those trucks with 88a bushings at the back
    and 83 bushings on front(with cupwashers both board & roadside) and have the same 7° wedge and dewedge of truck and upgrading the pivot cups like riptide as an example?
    It might be too much to ask about this but I hope to get some feedback from you Man.

    • @LongboardingExplained
      @LongboardingExplained  Před 2 lety +1

      I'd say it's worth wedging and dwedging! It's hard to get bushing that fit in the Bear TKPs perfectly. But I've heard thunder bushings are a perfect fit. You can sand some bushing and make them fit will though.
      Let me know how it goes and what works for you, interested in your experience

    Hey abuga I had a quick question and know that you are the best CZcamsr to ask hands down because of how honest you are. I have a dinghy and a few other cruisers but I really want a longboard to cruise longer distances. I want something comfortable and easy to push and I’m stuck between the drop cat 38 and the battle axe. I know there both similar boards but still very different. I was wondering what your opinion on them head to head and which one you would recommend. Cheers and fucking shred on

      I'd get something from Panrtheon if you can afford it, or from DB longbaords if you're on a tight budget. The Drop Cat is awesome but nto what I'd recommend if cruisng longer distances is a big focus for you.
