    Those rural roads always scare me. Someone pulling out of a side road suddenly in front of a Model A would probably result in a fatality. Happened here a few years ago to a couple in their 70’s on the way home from a car show. A car turned left in front of them.

    I know someone with a 31' MA Sedan like this, he converted his to 4spd/overdrive tranny and his will go 70mph. Still has mechanical brakes though.

    Where can you find parts for this car? Is this still all original including engine?

    • @ShootingCars
      @ShootingCars  Před 3 lety +3

      Yes it is! And we get most of our stuff from MAC auto parts online (they have everything!) or at swap meets!

      Amazing how you can restore cars like these. Here in the Philippines it’s nearly impossible to still find parts for these cars. You’ll probably have to be darn lucky enough if someone, somewhere who by slim chances still owns one of these decides to scrap his car. And often prices for its parts considering it’s a rare antique, will come at a costly price. Matter fact, I once had an old ‘65 Ford Mustang 289 w/c sadly I had to let go due to scarcity and inaccessibility of parts plus abrupt financial issues. And it still hurts me to this day. But at the very least I still have my 1982 currently in still fairly good shape Toyota Corona DX SILVER EDITION T - 140 ( 12 R - M engine) w/c I vowed to keep and preserve as a vintage for as long as time will allow and am currently keeping a watchful eye on it.

    does it make 50-60hp?

    • @thepilotmaster777

      40hp

    • @Stargun-vj1uh
      @Stargun-vj1uh Před rokem +1

      The thing about it is that despite only having 40 hp, it has both very usable torque numbers and is geared low. That really allows it a functional driving experience even today.
