The Highest Level of NICU Care

Carilion Children’s Hospital includes a level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with beds for up to 60 newborns, providing the most advanced care in our region. Led by neonatologists and doctors specially trained to treat newborn babies, the NICU team also includes neonatal N.P.s; R.N.s; registered respiratory therapists; physical, speech and occupational therapists; child life specialists and lactation consultants.
