    Smoking kills. My mother will die from it. Even though she had to quit, she says she misses it. I wish I would have never smoked, even though I quit. Why is it legal and why shouldn't the CDC do something better? MAKE IT ILLEGAL! It's so addictive, people that smoke can't help themselves.

      +TheWilkenator If it's illegal, the demand will go higher, and dealers will take advantage of it.

      TheWilkenator why don't they cure it....you know this is a disease of the 14th century at least that far back....they have cured all the diseases from that time, but this...suspicious we all should be very, very much...it's a very money maker for awhole lot of people...I am sorry, but I can not believe that these people would do these commercials without demanding a cure...like a herd of cows...they stigmatize a disease more....I never thought someone as educated as a attorney should be...would do this very unethical... in my world.

    If she smoked weed, 99% chance she wouldn't have that problem. Weed fights cancer & look at all the long term smokers. Chong, Snoop, Willie Nelson.. all those people good af.

    I hate the way she said it has not been "fair." It is no one's fault except hers alone.

    • @beckyh9993
      @beckyh9993 Před 8 lety +16

      +Kathy Harvey You misunderstand the "fair" comment. She is not including herself in the group "family." No one is more acutely aware whose fault the "unfairness" is. The entire passage is a self-indictment as to how Becky's choices have had huge consequences for those around her...... consequences they did not deserve. It is a cautionary tale to show current and potential smokers, that the decision to smoke is far reaching and does not effect the smoker alone. At 16, kids are not generally aware that their actions during their teens may blow-up in their future children's faces 30 years later. Becky is now trying to tell anyone who will listen, "look at this HUGE mistake I made. It has negatively changed my entire family's lives. Please do not make this same mistake because this could be you and your family in the future."

      Kathy Harvey is it your fault if you get it, you breathe...the air is sooo polluted. You go get your hair and nails done...a cause of COPD, most hair stylist have a degree of COPD...construction workers...our First Responders, Our brave military personnel, the people who paint houses, plumbers from asbestos, sick building syndrome, bonfires, fireplaces...yep.everything that smokes..even disel trucks on the highways...to the strong scents in your air freshners and candles...Fabreeze...ask a top notch pulmonologist about those things. Kathy, only 20% yes...a fact 20% of smokers get COPD....where did you think the rest come from?? So, don't be so judgemental...there's a high chance of about 85% you will get a disease in your life time...cancer...diabetes....Alzheimers...etc..etc..are we to judge you for whatever you get diagnosed with? Rudeness and being ignorant at your age...is not acceptable.
