  • In this interview, Stefan outlines the investor updates in the second quarter of 2024 and the considerable progress that has been made with its Graphite project in Greenland.
Confirmed as one of the highest-grade graphite projects globally, the asset is being fast-tracked and, once the exploitation permit is approved, Stefan predicts “I don't really see any substantial barrier for us not being able to be in production already in 2028.”
GreenRoc Mining (AIM: GROC) is focused on the development of critical mineral projects in Greenland. The company is developing two main projects, a world class graphite mine at Amitsoq in Southern Greenland and a downstream battery grade graphite Active Anode Material processing plant capable of processing graphite for 1 million EV car batteries
In this interview, investors will also learn:
    - Why the time to production has accelerated, in part to the supportive administration in Greenland
    - How the government in Greenland is changing its mining laws and becoming more critical materials friendly
    - Why the LoI from the U.S. EXIM Bank, to lend GreenRoc up to US$3.5m, complements potential further funding from the EU
    - How discussions with off-takers and other strategic partners are progressing
“We are speaking to the automotive OEMs. We are speaking to battery manufacturers.” says Bernstein. “There's growing interest for our part of the value chain, the upstream, midstream and in particular with graphite being somewhat neglected raw material in the past.”
Bernstein himself holds almost 1% of the company and he’s hopeful that his investment will be turned “into a rather profitable one in a relatively short period when the market realises all the good value that we have created.”
“We're one of the precious few companies within Europe that will be delivering graphite active anode material to the booming electric vehicle industry with high ESG standards and with a very positive business cases as documented by both a preliminary economic assessment and a pre-feasibility study.”
Reasons to add GROC to your watchlist:
    - World class graphite deposit at Amitsoq in Southern Greenland
    - Developing a high-margin processing plant for high-quality, stable source of feedstock
    - Preliminary Feasibility Study illustrates exceptional processing plant economics
    - Positive PEA economics for Amitsoq
    - Pre-Feasibility Study for Amitsoq due 2024
    - GROC is one of only a handful of European vertically integrated graphite miners also intending to process anode graphite for EV’s
    - The EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act provides concrete supply chain targets and deadlines with potential funding
