  • CEO Stefan Bernstein recently attended the annual Raw Materials Summit held in Brussels and explains how investors can benefit from the new EU Critical Raw Materials Act following news that graphite is now included in a list of 17 ‘strategic materials' with Governments pledging €3bn of funding.
GreenRoc Mining (AIM:GROC) is focused on the development of critical mineral projects in Greenland. The company is developing two main projects, a world class graphite mine at Amitsoq in Southern Greenland and a downstream battery grade Active Anode Material processing plant capable of processing graphite for 1 million EV car batteries.
In this interview, investors will also hear:
    - How the EU has pushed critical raw materials to the top of the political agenda
    - Why graphite has been chosen as one of 17 ‘Strategic Raw Materials’
    - How the CRMA provides a supply chain framework with concrete targets
    - Why Greenland has become an EU partner
    - How the EU is helping bring investment to Greenland
    - How GROC may benefit from these initiatives
The Critical Raw Materials Act, proposed about a year ago, is now being implemented. It stipulates that by 2030 a minimum 10% of these critical raw materials have to come from EU member countries or associated countries and 40% have to be processed within those countries.
"For graphite this means 100,000 tons of graphite concentrate to be produced within Europe, and associated countries by 2030, and more than 400,000 tons of graphite anode material. Today the production of graphite concentrate is less than 10,000 tons and anode material zero,” explained Stefan Bernstein, CEO at GreenRoc Mining.
Reasons to add GreenRoc Mining to your Watchlist:
    - World class graphite deposit at Amitsoq in Southern Greenland
    - Developing a high-margin processing plant for high-quality, stable source of feedstock
    - Preliminary Feasibility Study illustrates exceptional processing plant economics
    - Positive PEA economics for Amitsoq
    - Pre-Feasibility Study for Amitsoq due 2024
    - GROC is one of only a handful of European vertically integrated graphite miners also intending to process anode graphite for EV’s
    - The EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act provides concrete supply chain targets and deadlines with potential funding
Stefan Bernstein, CEO of GreenRoc Mining, was interviewed by Donald Leggatt for focusIR.
