Not dissapointed at all. Anything over 400 hp on a budget with used parts is something to be proud of. Keep it up !

  • @chadsmith1092

In a world full of 1000hp Ls, coyote, and power adders. It's nice to see some old school getting revisited. 👍

  • @Dboyquicks10

Nice little street engine. I think a lot more people are building budget engines these days and really appreciate the effort you put into making these videos. Good work as always 👏 👍.

  • @juliodiaz8280

Yes, do a video breakdown of the parts on dingleball 355.

  • @bdugle1

I recall a DV article probably decades ago where he made 470 with a 355 and Vortec heads. If memory serves (I’m old), he used a 236° cam with 108 LSA, just a bit shorter than yours. Very impressive results regardless! Thanks!

  • @deanmoser5907

That power on the cheap is nothing to be sneezed at.

  • @robertbarone2306

I ran this exact motor combination in my dirt car. I turned 7200 all night long. Never no issues

  • @jerrymendoza4384

Sickness...great job on the HP number. Love how this reminds everyone how good the SBC is.

  • @skywaves5175

Yes I would like to see the part list..

Love to see the parts list.

  • @SaneCayne

I'm impressed that 11 to 1 CR played nice with less than 100 octane. I've always heard no more than 10-10.5 to 1 on CR with iron heads - for pump gas/street-driven engines.

  • @anthonypritchard7710

Can’t wait for the roller cam version. I’m currently building a vortec 350 with summit racing 8803 cam and aluminum heads.

  • @kainehebert6173

Thats really impressive considering what it is. I know some 383's that struggle to achieve at least hp numbers this has made. With vortec heads..awesome. Love your channel!

  • @timothyrobinson894

Super impressive numbers using mostly stock components (cam and intake not included of course). You must have got the porting just right for the combo. Adding compression sure builds power. Nicely done sir!!

  • @Anarchy-Is-Liberty

67 pulls? Damn, about ready for a rebuild!! After 150 passes, I rebuild mine! :)

  • @shaneshane1379

That 300hp at 3500 rpm is very impressive.

  • @reason2gether

Nice job! Very similar to my 327-street engine. I use a cam with better idle vacuum and take the hit on HP, but otherwise very similar. Using Dart 2 heads instead of the Vortec units also. I am looking forward to the carb vs injection results. If not port injection, I prefer the double-pumper Holley 4150 every time.

  • @LT1zach

Super grateful I found your channel. Im using it as a guide for my low budget Vortec build. Love the content!

  • @johndishong5083

Thank you so much for including the idle vacuum numbers! I like my power brakes.

  • @chadadececco

    Awesome 👌 Great work Pat!
