- Let's do some Chaos Theory in Blender! In this video, you will learn how to create a double pendulum using math equations, Geometry Nodes, and Simulation Nodes. This will form pendulums that move in the most realistic way possible! I will also show you how to set custom objects as the pendulum and have multiple pendulums simultaneously! Enjoy the video!

You are getting crazier everyday
Omg! He did it again! Wonderful!😱
Thank you so much!
I laughed so hard when you show that formula 🤣 Once Again A Great Tutorial.
Haha thank you!🤣
Damn, this is so impressive! That's some way underrated content.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it :)
Wow. That was the coolest Blender tutorial I've ever seen. But, by the time I finished it, my head exploded and I had to take a nap.
Haha thank you! Hopefully you can recover ;)
Well explained indeed.
we getting out the hood with this one (but fr fire tutorial)
Haha thank you! :)
Love this
when we rotate the instances, you can just take the angle of Theta1 and Theta2. Mathematics is great, thanks!
Fantastic thank you! 👏
Thank you very much and you're welcome! :)
ahh mann watched full. understand nothing. subscribed. so cool. imma lean. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much! Believe me, it's okay not to understand at first :) as long as you have fun the understanding will come eventually!
Dude you really are an ideology, I swear,
Thank you so much!😁
Great tutorial
Thank you! :)
You should have more followers!
Thank you! Keep on working hard! :)
Dang. I Just wanted to learn how to attach a hinge to an object that was already hinged... and I went down a rabbit hole.
It¡s fantastik, beautiful, thank you, please do more (aling euler to vector is deprecated and in the future dosen't exist, alternative?)
Thank you so much! Yes the "Align Euler to Vector" node will indeed be replaced by the "Align Rotation to Vector" node!
In the swinging demonstration section there are different kinds of projects, can we get the all tutorial please for that, it seams awesome
Thanks!! Which part of the swinging demonstration do you mean specifically?😁
@@mtranimationI liked the heads following the pendulum edge and that tracking by moving the face and that material is too nice that been applied to the face that is some much awesome and thanks for response and I am glad I heard the question from u.
Great Tutorial!!! Is there a way to delete the lines after sometime? Or if they just scale down or fade like in the intro? THX!
Thankyou!!! You can try to track the age of each point with the Store Named Attribute node and then delete the point after a certain age :)
@@mtranimation Thx, I whish I knew this much of geo nodes lol
Oh I see everyone in the comments are saying how this tutorial is wonderful and all that (that's true I looove this tutorial, learnt a lot of thingies and.. wow I didn't know we can do this kind of things in here). But I will also say I had a problem with the pendulums not rotating to any direction (22:03), even if the XYZ position is following the tight path... :/
Thank you! To make that part work maybe first have a look at around 23:30 if your original pendulum is in the same position and rotation as mine. If not, rotate it so that it does (and maybe ctrl-a to apply scale)
@@mtranimation Unfortunately, my pendulums are moving with the index points but they are not facing the "upper" point that they should rotate to, even if I changed what was necessary, and applied all transforms by taking the same length, location and rotation than your base pendulum...
(length of 1 meter, facing -Y with the origin point at 0;0 on the world cursor in the center of the canva)
@@nathamiel-nolan Maybe you turned the pendulum in object mode and need also to apply the rotation?
@@dacode2blender I did just that again, but didn't work either, I do not know what I messed up...
Thank's a lot, learned many things ! One question : why is gravity value nothing to do with the usual -9.81 ?
Thank you! :) Let me try to explain that as easy as possible: If we would make that value node -9.81, the pendulum will go crazy because this number is too strong (has to do with some scaling factor in Blender). So when you divide this by 1000 you get -0.00981. If you round this number you get -0.01 which is easier to type and for the pendulum it does not matter that much since it's such a small difference :) Hope that helped!
Crystal clear, thank's !
ahh math again 🫥
