The question remains: would Akpabio have stated what he said to a male colleague on the senate floor? An apology couched in an excuse is not a sincere apology.

He got away with this when he said something to Ìrètí Kingibe few days ago. Akpabio, everything is not politics so stop the political enemy or friends

This man reminds me of Daniel Bwala who appointed himself as Bola Tinubu’s spokesperson before leaving PDP. Dude is doing the same thing by appointing self as Akpabio’s spokesperson. These are people with zero integrity. No future for the country Nigeria. Very unfortunate!

Mr. President a sincere apology does not need long explanation for a regretable conduct that sounds like justification or mitigation! You are either sorry for a wrong conduct or not! Period!

That's not an apology. No need for all that waffle. This Mr Okolugbo always sounds like a pikin wey no dey hear word. His comments usually smacks of arrogance....Tired of seeing him, is he the only resource person? Couldn't they get a sitting member of the house? Looking like a clown that has lost his nose. See his body language when Ayo asked him questions. Tell your senate president to give up his big jeep, big salary (take minimum wage), and allowances.

This nonsense about handing women positions in government is pure rubbish. Politics is a fight for vote and popularity and numbers. Let women go out there and play the game if they can. Else, they should stay at home and run your businesses. If you can't stand the heat, please do not go into the kitchen. Men understood this and do what is necessary to get there and remain there. Men and women are equal, right? Then let them do the needful.

I am not a fan of anything/anyone APC but on this instance, people injected unnecessary meaning into Akpabio’s use of the word “nighclub”. Men attend nightclubs even more than do women, and it is true that people speak out of tune in nightclubs, so Akpabio was correct metaphorically and literally.
Nigerians should be concerned that the female senators have reduced themselves to dressing like confined Muslim women. If Akpoti’s outfit is mandated by the Senate as dress code for women, then that’s misogynistic. If it’s not mandated, then these women have reduced themselves to second class citizens by covering their bodies this excessively in a Nigeria where the average temperature is in the 80 degrees.
