    Hey! Much appreciated for this. This was very helpful.
    To any Indians watching this & thinking about buying Hero 9/10 batteries; I'd say buy this instead of standard ones as these are cheaper compared to the standard. 2 Pack Enduro for 9 & 10 is cheaper on Amazon India than buying the standard ones.

    Very good to hear, the only problem is that the battery can onlye be bought on their homepage so far. And they don't send only batteries to Sweden it seems like. bummer. I've jeard that the local resellers won't get them until spring and I need them now when it's cold and winter in Sweden. Very irritating, nothing GoPro can control, it's just irritating. It seems to be some ruel regarding flight transport of batteries, and you can't choose any other transport alternative on their homepage. I wan't to buy at least 4 Enduro batteries...

    • @GreatDayForAHike

      That is a bummer to hear. Yes, there is some type of rule that certain nations have relating to the flight transport of batteries.

    Thank you for the amazing detailed video. I am just about to upgrade to the gopro 12, and I was looking for information about the value of the new batteries, and your video certainly provided me with the best answer. But...
    There is really only one major factor that you haven't touched on, and I would appreciate it if you could reply to it. Well, in your video, you've talked about cold or moderate weather conditions. But what about in HOT weather? Will these batteries cope in hot weather too, or will the camera overheat as I have experienced many times with my current gopro Hero 10?

    Why buy 5? Surely three is enough if they charge that fast in the dual charger. Charge all three before you go out, use one, put that one on charge and use one of the two charged ones and keep going. I’m sure you have a Power Bank. And if not, one would be cheaper that the cost of two batteries.

      Back when I filmed this I had yet to find a great power bank for GoPros. Since then, many great options have been created. I agree that having three with your suggested use case is good.

    • @apahualpa173
      @apahualpa173 Před 2 lety +2

      I guess for action-shooting that's not convenient. For scenery uses on a tripod, yes.

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes there are many use cases where having an external power bank attached would be inconvenient or not feasible. Mountain biking, downhill skiing, many hiking situations, mounting the GoPro on a car, etc. Part of the appeal and benefit of action cameras is their size and the ability to mount them in places where there is limited space. Having an external power bank attached quickly offsets these benefits. Other than a stationary, tripod setting a power bank is generally not ideal.

  • @Jwick1518
    @Jwick1518 Před rokem

    Wow countless videos on this procust and not one person says how long thye take to charge, best source and are they one at a time or together. I mean this is why we buy them anyway. I could careless about an extra 10 min of recording, Pros change to fresh cards ans batteries in anticipation of the segment or shoot anyway....

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  Před rokem

      It depends on what you use to charge it and how you charge it. Use the GoPro dual charger with a wall-powered USB cable and it may take 30-45 minutes. Use a USB cable connected to a port on a computer with the same charger and it may take a few hours. Charging the battery inside the GoPro with a wall charger vs a USB charger connected to a computer will also yield different charge times. I buy them for their cold weather performance and they come included with the Hero 11 now. I also own a bunch so that I can bring along a bunch of already charged ones.

      @@GreatDayForAHike the best thing I can find and I hope this helps other people out. Use the c to c cord and obviously, that means you need a usbc outlet from your choice of charging peripheral. Of course go pro sells one (the supercharger or something) for yet another 50-60 bucks. I’m using my Mac to test a empty battery as we speak. I just hate that these companies keep nickel and dimeing us. It’s not cheap and i’ve been playing the game for decades. I also read on GoPro forum that many of the charging ports have light issues so the battery could be 100% and the light will not change to green. That sucks! No point.

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  Před rokem

      Yes, I charge using a wall charger with the dual battery charger. You’re right, the accessories are not cheap. Though I do like it that GoPro has not changed the battery physical size since the Hero 9 so I’m able to use the same charger I have owned since the Hero 9 to charge the batteries for both the Hero 10 and Hero 11.

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  Před rokem

      These work great at normal temperatures too. I’ve not had any problems. Including recently when I had my GoPro Hero 11 going continuously on a bike ride for almost an hour on one battery on a hot and humid day while recording in 5.3K. The reason to test in the cold is because the traditional GoPro batteries did not work properly in the cold.
