  • Friends, in this video I am going to press in a new ball joint in a 2010 Santa Fe SUV. No nonsense, no music, and I am not going to keep sticking my face in the camera!

Fantastic vid Rick! What a challenge to get parts off and then back on. Looks like you really had all the right tools and the skill and training on how to use. Great respect for you and anyone performing this job where ever it may be. Your camera work is outstanding. Viewers can be right there with you. Excellent reminder re safety glasses, jacks and all else.

Thanks so much for your very kind words, I am 71 and it truly was a challenge. I really don't want to do jobs like this anymore, but it was my siter in laws car, she is a widow and a cancer survivor. A local shop wanted $1500 for the tires and ball joints. She did not have the money.

Thank you for taking the time to show us the steps and nuances of doing this repair in such an expert manner. I liked how you used the lift table to give you a helping hand. How important would you say your lift table is to your home garage in terms of making your life easier?

I got that lift table from a local machine shop that had it outside for scrap. A little bit of oil worked wonders. I use it a lot with the press. Last time It helped support a bent rim I straitened out in the press. If you saw the generator repair video, I used it to lift it to a comfortable working height, then adjusted it to match the owners tail gate to slide it on his truck. I also use it for extra support around my table saw. It was a great find.

@@richardspaulding5035 Wow, I can see that it could be very helpful, esp. as I approach 60 and I'm not quite as strong as I used to be. I will definitely be on the look out for one. I think I'll look up that generator repair video. Thanks again.
