New president New rules in the country great development coming in the country the street are going to be cleaning period people need to go back to the village and help to develop it ❤❤❤❤
The same thing happening in Ghana at Liberian Camp and l Felt very sorry for them , they were given time to move out there but they did not take it seriously and it now happened
It’s sad to see people lose their homes, but if we Liberian wants development this is some of the price we all have to pay for that long overdue infrastructure improvements for our country.
Our so-called untrained reporters need to learn how to report or publish news or stories. Please start by answering 5 simple questions…Who, What, Where, When and Why (W.W.W.W.W). please. They are even terrible at interviewing or asking questions.
I feel sad for the people who lost their homes. But if they don't have proper documents then that's their fault. Hope others learn from this and start to prepare themselves because this will not be the last.
My man, can you give us a brief outline in the first 30sec, of what is going on? ie: why the structures are being demolished, who or what agency gave the order, etc. before you jump into the long talk.
So, there have been ups and downs about the above land issues/demolished place. According to information we received from citizens living in the community, the owner of the place took three community dwellers who were claiming that they owned the land. They have been in court since 2003 and up to date. Finally, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of an individual who was not a resident of the community and told the community dwellers to leave because they didn't have the legitimate document for the land. For the past time to date, according to the information that we got, the community didn't take the matter seriously until this incident came about today. However, you can view the video that speaks of the CATHOLIC JUNCTION Saga or the Citizens Cry for Justice video to get better details.
During and after the war, Liberia became lawless. The people do as they please, even when the authorities tell them not to do something. I asked one man why he built in the road. He had the nerves to tell me that the government told them not to build there, but as long as they give him some money when they come to demolish it, he will have no problem with them.
On a purely human level, I feel sorry for citizens who have to go through what is certainly a traumatic experience for families. But this was all avoidable up until the day they started building on had a legal owner, whether they knew this or not. So long as property rights are vigorously enforced by the courts,. the theft and resale of land will end up like. There are thousands of stories of the landowners reselling land from one to another buyer. If were not that Liberians were mostly nonviolent we would be hearing of people carrying out revenge on those who disrespect them by stealing their land by reselling it. Most people who have experienced this have simply threw up their hands and decided not to pursue it legally when they think of the added cost of paying lawyers to go to court. But this is the third case I've heard in recent years involving individual who have made it their goal to correct this gross theft by committing both financial resources and time to correct the problem. Liberians, we too need to do some serious research on parcels of land we wish to by asking around. The focus shouldn't be just about paying for the land with money you worked hard for. Some has the wise advice to not just the land seller but to also verify. Someone also warned that of a seller cautions you to build quickly on the land, that's a red flag that something sinister is awaiting you in the near future.
We want development but don't want to sacrifice. Well maybe it is time to listen. If you guys were given time why no actions were taken. I am just saying.
It's good to see Liberia finally enforcing the law.
I pray that our brothers and sisters understand that Monrovia is not the only place to live in liberia.
Liberia must be developed at all costs

What development you see here or you just saying it because you feel like it
No, Liberia biggest problem is it’s education system. Without an educated workforce, there is no development

Was any prior notice given to the people before breaking down their homes…?
Liberia is a big country there are many places to stay while you people like Monrovia ?? You people please Go look for better places to live ❤
Why are they demolishing the place? Are they going to carry on a construction over there? Would you mind to give some info please
It's time to build Liberia and not have it looking like refugee camp. No more slum community

I love the video but it didn't disclose the reason and why.
Go to other parts of Liberia to live. Stop moving to Monrovia if you don't have a good place to stay.
If the worker were white people liberian will be happy and dancing and bringing them food and cold water 😢 really sad 😔
