You don’t understand how weight cut and PEDs work in professional combat sports. This isn’t a bar fight between some local MMA fighter vs some roid monkey. It’s two highly skilled individuals with only strikes to the head/organs for 12 rounds and any sort of advantage is crucial.

he's making it sound like a 3 pound difference between the 2 fighters is significant, it's not. It is significant in the sense that to lose an extra 3 pounds when you are already dehydrated and a naturally heavier guy, it can weaken you significantly.
just to make things clear it is very likely that on fight night Devin was around 155/6 and Ryan was around 157/8 which is not a significant difference at all (it was an even playing field)

When samples are collected for drug testing, they are placed in two separate containers.
The A sample is used to conduct the initial test. If sample A returns a positive result, the B sample can then be tested to verify the accuracy of the results
That's not how that works. They collect the A & B sample at the same time. If the A sample comes back dirty, Ryan has 10 days to pay to have his B sample tested. This is done just in case of a false positive. A & B samples are collected on the same date and time. The B sample is stored for issues like this.
