    Also, if you pack the start of the title together into one word, you get STORMONT (the NI parliament building).
    All the allusion to war, the military language makes me think that it could be an extended metaphor for the troubles. That man is a more destructive force than nature?

    I really love this analysis and want to write about it but how would I link it to the writer's intention as in his overall message? For war, I can say it relates to the Troubles easily and the conflict between protestants and catholics but what do I do for this?

      I'd be careful about saying that it's the "writer's intention". We never know what the write 'intends', and any interpretation we come to about the text is reader-generated. Re Troubles/Protestant vs Catholic conflict that's using context to illuminate your reading of the poem, but shouldn't overshadow your close reading of the text itself.
