The deck that's gotten me the most wins at my LGS is probably my cheapest deck. I think it's sitting at about 50-60 bucks, maybe 70. Regardless, it's Blanka/The Howling Abomination. Bud him in a cantrip theme, include some guttersnipe effects as backup to your commander, some name cheating effects like storm kiln artist, and some card draw, and your opponents won't know what hit them.

I've been building decks worth $5 dollars total, and this has given me a little insight on some cheap options
Any deck containing blue complete the circuit (march of the machine) for a two copies of your next spell with convoke, for the simic doppelgang (mkm xxxgu cost copy x target permanents and make x copies of each targeted permanent) & troyan gutsy explorer(woe) dork that taps to add GU for spells with mana value 5 or higher or contains x in the cost
Ooh, Sidar was the first commander I built on my own (a few months ago)! The deck was more/less Nazgul tribal xD

Wait, Chulane draws when you *cast* a creature, so blinking and bouncing is just ETB but not casting creatures...
Am I missing something?
same, this always confused me as well when I looked at EDHREC of Chulane, he shouldn't be the generic etb-blink commander, rather than generic goodstuff with the side of ramp and card draw
I guess the generic option would be to use his activated ability and cards like aetherflux reservoir and intruder alarm to storm off and win and draw your deck
@@k0valik ...and he's not , we run like 6 blink effects because we run some notably good creatures to blink. (Thragtusk, Splicers, Yorion, much more) and bouncing stuff back to our hand? Lets us cast it again so we draw? Am I missing something?

Mine was a genuine question with no sarcasm, as it was presented like blinking and ETB in general would be synergistic with Chulaine, while there was a difference between the "generic blink stuff", "ETB matters" and the "Chulaine bounce synergy" (some of which trigger on ETB, hence the blink cards)

Sidar Jibari is strong cos of the eminense ability. The deck only gets stronger if you have better cards.
I appreciate the lists, but land isn't really a "to taste", especially in a tri-color deck. The kind of lands you are playing don't only determine the price, but the speed and play pattern you are looking for. Do you trade the ability for lands to enter untapped for lands that are better at color fixing? Depends what the setup turns want to look like. If we weren't playing around a budget I'd get the sentiment since you would obviously just do shocks and bonds, but especially if we're on a budget our mana base is one of the most important aspects to the feel of a deck.
Nah, still value to seeing a fat stack of 64 cards that are all under a dollar and all inspire a powerful deck build. Also this is exactly what i meant by lands are to taste, some people care about them (you), some people really don't (me) and want to build a powerful deck without the best lands and slowly upgrade it if there on a budget. To each there own. I'm def not saying "lands don't matter to a decks power level" but more of a "I run 3 decks with dog water mana bases that are 3 colors and they run great, and I don't want someone to not build a deck they could love just because they see $50 worth of lands" point of view. This channels all about inspiring creativity! Thanks for commenting.
Although I do see the logic of just putting lands into here that are under $1 as well. IDK, maybe I just have an issue with talking about lands... so boring
@@NicksLotus To be clear, fixing your mana base is not expensive. I just recently built a pretty strong $16 Gallia list, non-basics included. To say the entire determinate factor of what you can play is the non-important part of the deck is just weird to me. Removal objectively is way more to taste than your lands, since that actually varies on what you play against. But hey, I won’t complain about making new deck ideas. If not including $3-5 land base is the difference between sharing a cool strat or not then Ill take no lands any day.

Tcgplayer. The tcgdirect shipping is a few bucks, but you can typically get a majority of your cards in that one package

Oh no, I love it. Can even be use as removal of sorts. It's just in the video it's mentioned that it can bounce itself. I honestly believe it's a good pick for the deck.
anhelo does not say "copy a card, and you may cast that copy" but "copy a cast spell". you are getting only one trigger if a card says "whenever you cast" without saying "or copy", i dont think some of the payoffs you've put in are worth the space
Almost all of those pay offs go into spell slinger decks anyways , so I think they're def worth the space still. But I get what your saying
