  • Hair transplant complications do occur, but how a surgeon handles these complications is what matters the most. In this podcast clip, Dr. Mani Mittal breaks down a recent complication from one of his patients. The patient scraped his head on a taxi minutes after leaving his clinic. Unfortunately, he developed folliculitis and had to be treated with antibiotics. He's around five months post-op, and so far, the growth looks slower than average, but time will tell whether the hair transplant will grow optimally as it should have if he didn't bump his head.

This must be every patient’s worst nightmare (banging your head post op). I really hope that it has no long term affect for this guy. Thanks for sharing Melvin and great subject. 🙏

Do you think hair transplants will get cheaper in the future?

  • @extremisttotheextremeantid7554

This is why when I get my hair transplant, I will be holding a large bucket over my head when walking outside. Not looking forward to that experience.

Hello bro , hope everything is okay with you
Am a big fan of ur channel and i wanna ask you a question cause i need an experienced answer please ...i had a hair transplant surgery 6 and half months and i have a low density in the left corner of my hair .. doctor told me to wait until 9 months to see the final result buy am a little bit frustrated and i feel that that area won't get better .
The question is : is that case normally happens with many patients ? Does really density and hair popping extend till 9 months or thats just a scientific articles and researches ?
Thanks for having me on ur channel here really🙏.

Appreciate the support. Yes, it’s normal for hair growth to take up to 10-12 months. At 6 months you’re really halfway there, so don’t get discouraged.

Still too early to make any conclusions, but it’s great that a trial is being done.
