First, Julia I love every nook and nuance of your place and I can see why you would be sad to leave it. Second, here are the things I’m jealous over: the amount of windows you have, the natural light, the sheer volume of happy plants, the fact you have plants inside!! I have 4 cats and every plant I’ve ever placed inside turns into a cat toy and I have to remove it before it starts to die! Third, I also love propagating plants and nurturing volunteers (my moms term for new plants/flowers turning up in the garden by way of birds, squirrels, etc. I have an epic butterfly garden (Monarchs, Swallowtails, Zebras, and a few others) due to these volunteers and they bring me so much joy! Fourth, thank you so much for sharing your home and I hope at some point you’ll give us a peek at your new home! CONGRATULATIONS!!
Thank you Melissa!!! I'm surprised my cats avoid the plants like they do - maybe they know how much I care about them because they destroy everything else within their power. Ruby is the most destructive of them all! Your garden sounds beautiful, there are lots of butterfly friendly plants in the backyard at our new house and I am really excited! ❤️

Yes, I have seen similar refrigerators in Europe! Very efficient in my opinion and great for lessening food waste ⭐️

Never been too much of a plant person, and yet here I am, wanting to gather a bunch of plants to put around my place.
I love all of your little mementos. When I was younger, I was more of a minimalist in home decor, all white walls to showcase art (I used to work in museums and galleries), lots of clear space. I’ve since become a maximalist. I love a home with colour, patina and lots of treasures that speak to your life past and present. It makes your home a reflection of your soul, plus they’re great conversation pieces!
PS I am also crazy cat lady AND crazy plant lady but without the green thumb. Sadly lots of RIPs in my indoor jungle despite best intentions. I think I love them TOO much and over-care 🍃 So, I would love more plant care and propagation videos. I’m late to your channel so will have a look see if there are any yet...

I have 2 cats whom are mine, and one Walter who lives somewhere on the street but is very often in my house. He mated with my cat (Daantje), she got four kittens, who are born in my livingroom. I kept one; Silje.
And now they are one family, living with me.

Ruby is such a sass queen I love her!!! Your house is so lovely! Thanks for keeping it real for us, I think house/apartment tours are so fun, but when things are Too pristine, it kinda doesn't feel like people actually live in that space. Also, yes!!! Never doubt the power of propagating plants!!! When I was traveling, I'd have baby clippings from herbs I would cook with and I'd have them by the window in little cups and people always thought it was odd. Plants grow! It's what they do!

As a fellow plant lover I suggest cutting back on Lebron in order to make him easier to move. Just pot up the cutting and roll out with another new plant :) I have a Croton that is about 30 years old. I think it is probably my oldest houseplant. It sits in the living room enjoying the sun. Your cats are adorable!! Thanks for the list of pet toxic plants. We adopted a new kitty in September and he wants to eat the plants. I have tried setting containers of moth balls in the area with no luck Next trick is to try a little VapoRub on the pots hoping that he will leave them alone. Can't wait to see your new space.

I just have discovered a lot of things that we have in common!!! First of all, I have three female cats too!!!! My mum loves plants as well, so we have this two big domes on the roof and under that a ground stone with three plants. It’s very original because we can get sunlight. There is a ground stone in the second floor, which is watered by a hose. My mum likes to put hangining plants there.
Anyways, my house looks very natural and kind of a vivarium.
It’s very hard for me to explain how my house looks like, because it’s very particular. Also I’m from Argentina.

Love your cats, I used to have a one eyed cat, she loved me very much and it was mutual. My cat was very independent and she would leave for months at a time but she would always return home. Sometimes she would be pregnant... she was loyal to me and my family til the end. I loved her so much.

When I owned my own home, it was COVERED in plants. My family asked me why I was so obsessed with plants but they just seem to help so much with the air quality inside the home, they make you feel calm, and they are beautiful to look at. I love your house and the plants. Super cool. Makes me want to go back to having plants all around me again. Your cats seem so well behaved with the plants, mine loved to dig in the flower pots and I couldn’t figure out how to make them stop. 🥺

I’ve got two cats so I feel the cat hair struggle. I’ve accepted it’s just going to be my way of life. I have a black cat and light carpet in my apartment and there’s always tufts of black hair rolling around. I’ve become so desensitized to freaking out about cat hair ending up in my food. Lol. Probably sounds gross to most people, but cat life. 🤷🏼♀️

I think you may be able to train that fig tree to grow in an arch. It's usually just a rubber tree thing, but I saw one at the hydroponic store the other day that was a full canopy!

Thank you! If you are interested in raising plants, start with some that are low maintenance - I recommend pothos (the long hanging ones in this video) or mother in law's tongue (viper's bowstring hemp). Both are very easy to care for and will grow in a variety of conditions. Not suitable if you have pets who eat plants though!
itsblitzzz thank you for the advice, I have two dogs that are inside with me however they are out of the tear everything up stage, I would still put the plants where they couldn’t reach them. My mum and my Oma both have such luck with plants and I think it’s something I’d enjoy, I have anxiety and depression hope that’s not TMI but I always look for ways to help myself and not think to much! Thank you for replying and keep doing what your doing. This channel is my favorite and I love your ASMR videos very much.

I live in Miami so tent is not quite as crazy as LA but close. It's crazy that the rent on that house is that much and you have no refrigerator included! When I lived in Alabama for a year I found out appliances were never included in rent there, but in Miami it's pretty standard.
