I was at this show. What makes it more sentimental to me, is that this was my first show, and I saw Metallica on my 72nd season.
Same here man, though I’m 19, it was my very first show, and I got to hear Fade to Black and Orion live, two of my favorite Metallica songs. It was an incredible show

the voice of jamz is like wine, he sound so raw and energetic and clean on both albums and live!! they are whipping the floor of so many bands still.

Kirk caught a lot of flack for this guitar solo but I personally think it’s perfectly fitting for this song. Pure punk rock attitude!

@@soufianehl8868we don’t know the life of the owner’s post so maybe it is difficult, whether it’s to make the time for it or if it’s financial reasons. Some people aren’t as lucky to have Metallica come to a city near you. I had to pay a pretty penny to scalpers just to see them when I did, along with making a 5 hour road trip

Cause in my case it was like 15 minutes from work, I finished work that Sunday at like 4 n I went to the show n it took me like 15 minutes to be there (or less) so yeah I was pretty lucky. N I got the tickets the same day of the show (3 hours before the show lol)

Incredible. My wife and I were there for both shows. Literally 1 year ago, a random Cyber Monday in 2022, my phone started blowing up while on a work meeting. BOOM. New album, new song, tour announced out of nowhere, what a day. Working on Chicago tickets for next year. The journey started with Metallica at 14 years old in the fall of '88. First Metallica and live show in general 6 months later, Damaged Justice tour in March of '89. Fast forward 35 years, have now seen them 13 times in 5 decades. Here is to Inamorata being added to the setlist next year. Long live Metallica.
Hell yes! I’m 30 now and been listening to Metallica since I was in middle school. I consider myself very lucky since I had the chance to see them numerous times through the past decade and even got to meet them backstage in Lubbock, TX in March 2019. Metallica is one of the best things that ever happened to me.

I raced to Music Plus in the Northridge Mall after my shift at Orange Julius on July 27 1984 and bought Ride the Lightning the day it came out. So great to see these guys still killin it and having fun doing it. Awesome 👊🏻

Flew in from Columbus, OH, for both shows in Detroit and was 2 of the best concerts I've seen. The production was insane! The pyro and lighting were amazing! Can't even imagine the money they spent on the productions of each show. And Lars moving his kit around the stage was very cool. Let everyone see. Absolutely awesome!

I'm writing this moments after finding out my cousin has passed away. He was the one that turned me into metal when growing up. The first album he had me listen to was Ride The Lighting and I became an instant Metallica fan. RIP and thanks for everything, man.
