@@SeriousRodger I've seen them perform this live this year and Rob really does sound good. He really improved his vocals over the past few years. It's very noticeable during other songs as well. Yes, the sound of the videos is a bit more polished than the actual show but it doesn't make a big difference. If anything, it's only more amazing when you're actually there. There's nothing like a Metallica concert.
Also, James sometimes sings "wrath of man" at the same time as Rob which makes it sound closer to the studio version.

This is what I love about Rob. He knows when a song should be played with a pick or fingers. He doesn't use a pick often but I like that he is not adverse to it. Could he play it with his fingers? Of course he could. But it doesn't sound the same. It's why I always say it's best to be able to play both ways.

I'm not kidding. I was at both shows in Montreal and they blew the roof off. And every new vid on CZcams they seem faster and tighter. If you have tickets to an upcoming show you're gonna get your socks blown off. Wear sandals cause she's gonna be hot. Best band in the world at the moment. One of the best all time also.

Thanks guys I was here in Phoenix and this show was something for the history books. James got sick we had to push everything back to the next weekend. Suicidal Tendancies showed up with Rob Trujillos son performing, gorgeous. It was a one of a kind experience for sure, excellent. Thanks to James for getting up there and kicking ass!

So fucking kickass! Loving the new album and the new songs mix perfectly with the old-school thrash stuff. I saw their recent concert rendition of Fight Fire With Fire and was completely blown away! It's been DECADES since they were capable of playing the really fast songs EVEN FASTER than the record, but here we are!! Completely amazing the stamina these guys have found again!
Now if they could just hide Kirk's wah-wah pedal for the next album so he'd have to focus on actually composing his solos rather than going surfing all the time I'd be a happy happy camper!!

Hell yes! I fucking love this album so much. It has brought me so much joy ever since they first dropped Lux last year. I saw them twice in Hamburg this year and the new songs are 100% on par with the classics when played live. Lux, You Must Burn, Darkness, 72 Seasons, Sleepwalk and Suicide were the songs they played during my shows and they sounded absolutely stellar. Best weekend of my life.
