I have the 2021 ex 7 and yeah she performs well out the box. I upgraded the fork to a lyrik ultimate 150mm along with the bars and stem. Also upgraded the rotors to 200 in the back and 220 in the front (Iol) because once I started riding harder and on steeper more technical descents, the level t brakes with the 180mm rotors just weren't enough stopping power. Now, she's a cost effective ripper. I had the bike for a year and half and everything on the bike has been nothing but reliable: nx drivetrain, rear shock, wheels
I bought an EX 7 last season. I put better grips and swapped my XT brakes on from my previous bike because I am used to them. Every thing else performs perfectly, and I haven’t seen any one else with the red/black color way that’s only available on the 7.
Problem with the NX cassette is that if u want to upgrade to a GX u have to upgrade the hub to a SRAM XD drive because it comes with a Shimano micro spline hub out of the box!!
I got a 2021 ex7 for only one season ! Great overall bike, only issue is the crank bb and derailleur are cheap and creak little bit but it a great first full suspension bike ! Fox dps and rl 35 gold are amazing for entry level bike ! Well build, weld are very good quality too. The tire are not too good on mud but on hardpack is awsome grip. It a perfect trail bike !
After I had a heart attack 2 months ago and should work on my endurance in the future, I'm looking for a good all-round bike with which I can also like to get off the road to - as in the past - also have a bit of fun. I have somehow already committed to Trek, because I like the look here already good. Am only not sure yet whether the Roscoe 9 or Fuel Ex 7. The Fuel EX 7 is unfortunately somehow often ignored. Either everyone talk only about the EX 5 or the EX 8. For me it is also a question of price. I'm just looking for something for the all-round range. Maybe the EX 7 is something for me? (sorry for my bad english)
Hmmm after watching this video I feel like exchanging my Marlene 7 to this bike in which I just purchased a week ago I have 30 days for exchange btw I’m a newbie 🤣🤣
Sold my 2021 Hightower C build and just picked up a new Fuel EX 7 and LOVE IT……. Great bike 👍
Wow nice!

Excellent upgrades! You’ve made that bike a beast!

Treks press fit bb is known to creak. My trek gravel bike has a bb creak too
Is there a better bb to get rid of this?
Thanks, I agree.
Good video again. 💯
Appreciate it

Yes the EX 7 is over looked, both this model and the new generation come with excellent parts and it's what I'd ride out of the two choices!
There's a brand new fuel ex 5 for $1k....or should i buy the 7 for $2500? Thanks🤙

Definitely a better bike
Marlene 7?
Who's she? 😆
Now if it was only around $2,600 like it should be for the parts kit... 😅
I miss those days
If it had a lyric it would be worth the price that it is
Kinda agree
Does the frame accept both 27.5 x 2.6 and 29?
Yes the small and xs come stock with those, but depending on your size the geometry will be altered
Made in USA ???
Lol no
