The full episode is so heart breaking and generally alarming. This, the suburbs, and the stereotypes episodes were all some deep cutting cold facts. I really hope we make some changes.
Most aren't facts and it's sad people don't bother to fact check. I mean for a TV network so defined on changing minds you'd think some links would be provided for the viewer to see on there own time. I'm not saying these aren't problem but I'm saying this isn't the right way to teach people

However, if they one day did decide to carry ladders with them, that would slow them down greatly. Illegal immigrants have many things to carry as it is on their journey that's hundreds of miles long. Now they have to carry a huge ladder with them too? It's a much slower and cumbersome process.

Well, I mean, the Berlin Wall didn't stop smuggling or crime. And also the comparison doesn't work considering the scale. There's a difference between cutting a city in half, and walling off the border of a country. Less wall needed means more resources freed up to make a higher quality wall, which could be fully manned and protected at all times. The border wall wouldn't have that since almost all available resources would be dedicated just to building ANYTHING along the sheer length of the distance.

But, if the immigration process was less demanding, more "illegal immigrants" would be more inclined to do the process legally and therefore more people in the US (as a consequence more people to take taxes from). I thought the US prided itself as a melting pot of all different "races" and backgrounds, but it keeps turning away more and more people for the most minor things. Maybe not everyone is welcome, but we are too afraid to let potentially good people in to pursue the so called "American dream" (which itself is bullshit, but a different problem) or even just see their families because they don't have everything that the US wants.

How is it that people need this explained to them?
Because this is ridden with so many wrong things in it. For example, the guy claims that mexico's economy is doing well and thats why not a lot of people will leave, but then first explain to me why there are so many unemployed people there, and then explain to me what we are going to do with all the people who are not coming from mexico, they are just using the mexican government to get to america.

what US people don't really understand is that most Mexicans do NOT want to live there. they just don't have a choice if they want to provide their family. most don't see the US as the Greatest Country In The World.
well the reason mexico is so bad off is because of the drug wars in america. some cartels established themselves and started selling drugs in us when the drug war began they just moved to mexico and exported drugs to US through border running and planes meanwhile the Mexican government couldn't handle the cartels and got a lot of corruption and the Mexican people fearing that they maybe forced into cartels and die so they don't want to live in US so they can live safely so its really america's fault for many cartels and Mexican government and immigration no wonder the government helps them they have a better chance in US then they do in their home land

The wall wouldnt inherently fix all illegal immigration, he used examples of planes as the blanket statement, almost with the thought of dont lock your doors because burglars can still get in.
