Thank you for the video! Just finished replacing my wife's back up camera and this video made it so so much easier! If you ever get to Alberta Canada I'm buying you a beer or three!

When removing the eight white plastic clips holding the trim piece, it helps to use wooden shims between the trim and body panel to separate the parts. With the shims in place when you squeeze the white clips they will have tension on them and will pop out of the holes.

Best video on CZcams. Very thorough, even though some viewers missed what you explained then wrote about it, you didn’t miss a thing. Thank you! I just want to add that in my case, the camera connection behind the molding which is exposed to water and dirt, was very dirty. When I played with the connection while in reverse, I was able to get a clear image right away. I cleaned it and lubricated the connection, then wrapped the connection in liquid tape. I was able to avoid purchasing the camera. This is common when manufacturers don’t use waterproof connectors on the outside of the body.

Thanks! This was very helpful. I just did this and it really wasn’t to hard. Just to emphasize, there are FOUR white clips on each side and you have to release them one at a time from each end.

Hi there was this plug and play or did you have to take it to a dealer to reprogram it?

Plug and play, no problems on a 2017.

@@netwrench6570 I actually thought the same thing plug and play until I realized the back up sensors are synchronized to the back up camera as well as yellow lines in the screen that were actually missing. Took it to the stealership and paid $100 for them to reflash it! Perfect now!

You forgot to mention you have to open the glass in order to get to the two screws that will ultimately release the inside plastic panel

So how.don you take off the plastic panel? Is it just remove those two screws?
