How do I fast? How long ? Can you have anything? I'm only asking because I've never done this and I have sugar problems but I want to try. Please no harsh or hateful words? I'm honestly asking because I want to know. Thank you for reading.
It's sad that Christians now have to be afraid of hate when they need help. See where we've come to. ❤️
Fasting is surrendering the body to God as an outward sign that you want to also surrender the spirit & soul to Him. It's for cleansing, to deepen repentance, to humble ourselves & get closer to God. If u've never done it I do not advise any gung-ho approach. The day before the fast you prepare by winding down social media, devices etc. (I didn't say avoid impt calls & ignore people.) There's a way to extract urself from the buzz of life without the whole world knowing you're about to fast. I come here fasting all the time & nobody knows bcz it's nobody's business. [Matt 6:17]. If married you step away from intimacy, only for a while as agreed with a spouse- 1 Cor. 7:5. You use the day before to eat less, maybe fruit & lightly watered down juices, or you have smaller meals or maybe skip 1. You're telling your body to step back for the main fast time frame.
You also use the prep day to bare ur ❤️ to God. "Lord I'm sorry. I know I'm not perfect but ur blood has received me & ur grace is sufficient for me. I want this fast to be REAL & personal between us. I don't want to play around. Deal with me as a son and not a stranger O God. I long to be near you God but to come near I must be clean, bcz u are holy & pure." You do your repentance from the heart & carry it as the first portion of the real fast. Always repent when fasting or you're wasting your time & His. Whatever you need help with or want from God comes AFTER u tell him sorry for the ways of your heart & life. Fasting is a key facet of a truly humbled & repented life, and as people do it often they will find all their scaly ways sloughing off to reveal fresh new real estate in their hearts minds and spirit. Amen.
No new person shd run out there talking about "I'll do a 3-day dry fast!" That's an ER visit for them, most likely. Ask GOD, to mute ur body's urges & transfer the bulk of ur strength INTO YOUR SPIRIT MAN. Ask Him. "Yah, kp my mind off food & on you. I can't do it alone but in you I am more than a conqueror. I want to conquer this flesh- 1 Cor. 9:7. I want to come UP. I want to see what you see & have my understanding opened to ur truth. Let me not be dizzy, hungry or intemperate. Let my emotions & my blood sugar stay calm, so that my inner ears can hear u without physical interference." Pray like that, as for help, the Lord assists who is humble. 1st timers shd use light juice (watered down, regular sips as u need it), water, maybe a piece of fruit after several hrs. Try a day & if you're still with us 😄, then do it again in a few days apart. Fast 1 or 2 days apart until you grow to where u can do your days together, and on less. The key is to do it rather than do nothing. However if u feel u need less (food) as u get better at it don't run away from that. Lean into what u feel u can do; ALWAYS DO MORE IF U'RE ABLE rather than hanging out at baseline. This part is for *everyone.* If u alws fast a day & u now see at the end of the day u cld have rolled it into a 2nd day without damage, ROLL IT. If you're mastering 2 & u start to see by end of a 2 day when u break, your body is robust & fit like Daniel, then try a 3 day. The point is *NOT* "Look how many days I held out!'/ The point is to DEEPEN YOUR SPIRITUAL CAPACITY ALONG WITH UR FAITH. Fasting brings power in the Spirit. Those who are used to fasting: *Stop being complacent at a level u've already mastered.* Stop doing the least when God is able to draw u higher & deeper, bcz I can promise u these witches are out there on 7-DAY dry fasts for death, accidents, & destruction. Don't let the children of darkness be more devoted & better at growth than you. Train urself to fast & benefit from the spiritual disciplines that Jesus FULLY expects u to be using until He comes. 🌺
Fasting PURGES & PURIFIES. Many out there would get rid of stubborn desires, additions, habits, predilections & shameful personal weaknesses like anger problems, rage, lust, envy, gossip & loving false prophets- if they only fasted more. A strong spirit man bulked up by fasting hates lies & evil, and the more you fast the more you will hate ur own habits & pray like fire to get rid of them. Fasting is *pointless* without prayer. Even if u have a job, as u fast u *must* PRAY. Take a 5 min break & pray or read a Bible passage & think on it. Your mind being washed during a fast & all the junk may come out in you being more irritable than usual, depressed, or feeling whiny & out of sorts in the beginning (or through the whole thing). It's a combo of the body mad at no food, the demons mad at the fast, the process of getting used to it, AND spiritual work being done in the person. Also, the water of the soul which is so high & noisy in almost all people who don't fast regularly, *is FORCED to settle down.* *Yes. Fasting shuts the ever-talking mouth so God can talk.* So God can get a chance to point out things you thought He just loved about u that He can't stand. So God can make God's adjustments & make a fit believer out of you.

GOD separated me from my family- it was very painful 😓 it occurred after my husband sudden unexpected death. My comfort was what HE spoke to me “ Noah had sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews and cousins and neighbors and coworkers- They watched him toil and work- BUT none got on the boat 🛥 with him 🤔😢🤫. The narrow road has ONLY a Few.

You likely already know what I'm talking about in this response, but I think it is pertinent to what you are saying. Many people are offended by different passages in the Bible. They don't wait for clarification from God on certain subjects and they turn away because of their own perception. One passage that I learned very early on in my own studies comes from John Ch. 6. Jesus spoke about eating His flesh and drinking His blood. The people hearing this did not grasp what He was saying at all. (much like us.) They said, "How can this be?" And though Jesus explained it they simply could not grasp it. At the end of the chapter, many of the disciples of Jesus went away and they walked with Him no more. Then Jesus asked Peter, "will you also go away?" Paraphrasing, but Peter said, "to whom shall we go?" " You have the words of truth." There are many sayings in God's word that people find offensive. Jesus calls these instances, "hard sayings." You know this is true, and so do I. What this taught me is that when I read a "hard saying,' in the scriptures I know that I can't rush to judgement, but I need to wait on God and He will show what the meaning is. When I come across a hard saying, I set my heart on what Peter said to Jesus when He asked Peter, "Will you also go away?" My answer is, NO WAY. God is amazing, His word is living and I know as well as anyone who waits on the Lord in this regard, that Jesus always clarifies His word. Look up the word "Mana" from John ch. 6. When you read the definition is says that it is a "whatness, so to speak." The disciples always went to Jesus and asked Him "what does this mean?" Jesus answered them plainly. He spoke in parables to the masses, but those who went directly to Him and asked for clarification, He always clarified it for them because they were seeking God's truth. As believer's in Jesus with sincere faith, we can go to Him on these matters and He always answers.

When I got saved a while back, the church instructed us all to fast for one week. I successfully fasted seven full days-water only. I learned that The Bible truly is sustaining. Regarding marriage, I prayed and prayed to God for my marriage, to marry the man I knew and loved for a longtime, imagining a fantasy life, no fights, always love and thinks like that. Then I faced the reality, it was hard, I had to die to self everyday and God took me through a process of hardship, brokenness, loneliness. But I thank Yah for it, now I’m into marriage for 14yrs and God had changed me completely. I still struggle here and there but I always invite Jesus to help me. Same at workplace, recently encountered a rude behaviour out of nowhere from my fellow coworker whom I haven’t had any issues before. It was quite surprising but I understood that if Yah is testing my patience and I kept calm. Took it through proper channels like you said and I’m at peace now. I’m still learning, growing and maturing to the level that Yah wants me to be at.

Im still learning how to hear God. I have prayed for discernment and wisdom...and to get on the right track. When I feel discouraged and the enemy tells me I’m nothing and why would God talk to a person like me anyway...... I am reminded that over 4 years ago I was l was led to The Masters Voice Prophecy Videos. I knew right away God was speaking. Satan tries to tell me that I am stupid and worthless but I know I have discernment because I know these messages are from God.

Me and the Holy Spirit would sit there and just listen to my old friend group gossip, be miserable, and talk mess all day until the day that I couldn’t take it anymore and I took myself out the friend group.
