Agv has always had more expensive and less expensive helmets. If you want a cheap ass helmet, they make the K1-S and K3-SV 😅.. also they dont feel like bullshit, unlike the hjc C and I series helmets. Shoei also has the RF-SR which is only $400 and isnt hot garbage, so if you can afford to buy a 2 wheeled thigh rocket, then you can spend a little money on properly protecting your melon. both feel very premium, scorpion has really increased their quality . It felt so good on the touch. I just wanted the best and I could afford arai. If you can get their base model go for it. But Scorpion is an amazing brand also, and I think the R1 is also super close to their moto gp version safety wise, but has less noise cancelling as you need to be able to hear better in racing. The 1400 is the road going helmet with more comforts. Any of the top brands will be fine. AGV, Shoei, Scorpion, airoh etc.. I bought plain pearl white color because colored helmets can be up to 100-150 euros/dollars more expensive

@@griffins750 Arai is #1 for me, had an accident and I will swear by them even if I can only buy their cheapest model. I bought the Quantic because I wanted some more touring features, but you can buy the profile V and it looks cool as S also! Scorpion is an amazing brand very comfortable, I'm worried about the inflating pillow but when I used it new of course it was amazing. My head had a better fit on the Arai, but I would buy a Scorpion as well. I would buy the R1 for Racing purposes for sure. The 1400 is amazing also. All top brands are ok. Find the one that fits best. After the 150 euro mark, everything else is a premium, all of these are tested the same way. ECE2206 is very high standard test. Maybe just maybe arai is a bit safer but that's debatable. Full Face only, and buy top brands. And get earplugs also mate! 3m for workers cost only 2 bucks and they will save your ears ! Similar to my exo 1400 air carbon, in my case this fit ok but it is a little complicated to put it on and take it off, but at least the noise is almost zero up to around 120km/h

Very easy to install a pack talk. Both the R1 and 1400 have speaker cutouts and plenty of room between the padding to hide wiring. Best way to mount the comm unit is the clip on mount, which also mounts without any issue.

Pumps??? -How good were nike air pumps? did they last and hold pressure? was it a feature that caught on? NO... there is reasons why ppl!
I bought a 150$ Sena modular helmet with built in sun vizor and a headset...
And yes it is safetyapproved in US and EU and ist pretty nice looking...
Never undertood the need for expensive simple helmets with nike air pumps.... if it fits it fits.... especially for streetriding in traffic it is more about userfriendly features than abot carbon race performance...
-Having a headset and gps guidance and a comfortable helmet that can flip up for easy communication makes me way more safe in everyday traffic than any race specs helmet ever will...

I still want the R1 air so i might try to sell my arai to get the scorpion afterall
