Can you use a GoPro Hero 12 to capture Aurora Borealis - Epic 4K timelapse footage of the night sky

So here we go with a bit of timelapse footage of the night sky in spring. Yes we have the Aurora Borealis, plenty of clouds and the moon setting.
Enjoy.
Intro filmed with Nikon Zfc and a TT Artisan 25mm F2.0 lens.

Thank you 😃 check out the Aurora apps to give you an idea of the best time to catch them. Then set up a GoPro and fingers crossed 👍❤️ even if you don't catch any the night sky csn be pretty amazing.

I know, they are so elusive. And so faint. I was watching out for them while the time lapse was running but saw nothing.
Yes, I'd recommend one. There no doubt are better ones, and some do things the GoPro can't, but as an all round beast of a camera, you can't complain.

Superb capture Jaune just before the clouds bring the dreaded rain! How you finding the sound on the 12! We are hugely disappointed if we can sending it back or investing in remote mics one or the other! 👍

Do you have the media mod for the GoPro? It's got a proper directional mic on it, with a foam wind cover. It might help. You'd need to use that if you were to go for remote mics.
I use the DJI mic and it's great, but there's lots of more affordable options. I've even just bought £30 wired lav mic and that works nicely (although just used it for the talking head shot (with the Nikon) on this intro so wasn't worried about trailing wires that much).
