I like James Mcavoy. He is really good at playing a character I’d mortified being alone with in a dark alley. Really strong actor. If he never play Charles again that’s fine, but I’d have no issues if they brought him back
McAvoy and Fassbender are the 2 best options for X and Magneto, yes people can say “oh no this guy can do it or this guy” nooo. McAvoy and Fassbender are the best options for those roles.
He will be back even if it’s briefly. No way they don’t get everyone back (minus a select few who just won’t be able to/can’t such as anybody who has sadly passed and for for other reasons for whatever bridges that have burned such as Edward Norton).
Fans need to stop obsessively anticipating the x-men being rebooted. Its clear from what they've been doing that all these 2000s X-men cameos are setup for Secret Wars, and its likely that they'll not even touch introducing new clearly defined x-men until Secret War comes to a conclusion.
My guess is we’ll see them all return in Secret Wars, they’ll pull everyone in like bringing Tom, Toby and Andrew and their respective cinematic villains together, or the variants in Doctor Strange… just on a larger scale.
Kevin foggy confirms that they’re gonna keep Hugh Jackman for a little bit as the MCU wolverine. Because you gotta think there’s secret wars and that’s probably gonna be their chance to introduce a new version while still keeping Hugh Jackman and the Deadpool movie was very successful. It’s not too far marvel the fans want Hugh Jackman and a few Jackman can make money like that for them. Why not keep him
McAvoy would make a great Wolverine. Has the acting chops to deliver the range of dark and conflicted emotions we get from Wolverine, Google says he’s 5’7 and he can clearly add mass if you’ve seen Glass and the trailer for this new disturbing movie.

I personally think the actor who plays Cassandra nova is too young for McAvoy to be their twin. If they have established that Cassandra nova is Professor X twin then they are going with a professor X that’s around 30.
He could play a different version of professor x it’s fine. If the movie is good ppl won’t care. Him and fastbender are the perfect age. I’m more excited for X-men than avengers.

If they can somehow work in a scene where Ian and Patrick talk to James and Michael that would blow minds they have never had poorly written dialog when its just those two characters young or old, and of course they would act the hell out of it.

Since when do people connected to Marvel tell the truth about whether they will reappear before an official announcement? Okay, granted, Chris Evans didn't appear as Captain America on Deadpool & Wolverine. 😉 And the Russo Brothers won't direct any more Avengers movies. 🤣
I don’t see why they would, they’re starting a brand new X-Men universe which means it’s gonna be a whole new set of incarnations, James McAvoy was a great Charles Xavier but ultimately there’s no reason for him to come back if this franchise is supposed to be entirely new
Just bin the whole fox universe. Thought that was the plan all along? To just recast everyone and start over? At least that’s what I hope they do because the mcu needs its own x-men completely different to everything fox did
I know alot would disagree off impulse but think about it. They are going run out of stars quick now that they have access to ALL marvel characters thats why i wouldn't mind if people like James McAvoy reprise his role or RDJ is Dr Doom. People don't realize how many people have already been in marvel movies in general for over 25 years yet alone the MCU. And add the fact that DC is taking away starpower for them to be cast in the MCU what do we think is gonna happen eventually? I don't think we would like them to start casting someone like Kevin Hart or Melissa McCarthy in the MCU do we? Not to mention that they could ever catch a big star like Keanu Reeves or Denzel Washington in the MCU, give it a couple of years when they finally cast for X-Men and other stuff how casting may be. Its gonna get to the point people we saw cast in DC movies will probably get cast in MCU movies eventually.

James McAvoy is an Amazing Actor. I definitely enjoyed his portrayal of Professor X. And Michael Fassbender as Magneto was legit.

I loved McAvoy in the Narnia movies and It chapter 2. To me he felt like a real professor X in those other movies.
