In this DCS World Simulator video @GrowlingSidewinder and I flying the SU27 Flanker and we are tasked to take down US MQ9 Drone
We have threats in the area such as FA18 Hornet , F16 Viper.

I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthawg , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.

Why are these videos with flankers so much nicer to watch?! the same is on GS channel.... they seem really fantastic machines and superior to pretty much anything that requires strategy or tactics...... would be nice to see these in BVR action vs Raptor of F 35's, just like in tis video 2 vs 2
Today 2 flankers intercepted and caused a us drone to crash.....

It was literally two Flankers taking down a drone in the Black Sea. Longshot's Flanker powers now include predicting future events.

Seriously! You and Growling Sidewinder Have truly been the driving force in myself deciding to build a dedicated DCS PC. I'm a 90% disabled US Marine. Combat Arms 16 years. I just finished My PC. *Asus Z790 Maximus Hero Motherboard, *Intel i913900K CPU, * 64 Gb DDR5 Corsair Vengeance RAM 6000Mhz / CL36, *MSI RTX 4090 GPU. I am having trouble finding any GOOD CONTROLS. Anything you could help with would be awesome!
I like the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS. No complaints. If you want the best and money is no object, look at Virpil and Winwing websites. Good luck with DCS!

@@guestimator121 there are speculations about Su-27 getting ahead of the drone and draining its fuel in front of it, which caused the crush.

This may have been asked before but how are you using the R77 on a Russian su27 in game? Is it a mod?
It is a mod
You don't necessarily need any mods to do this. You just need to have a mission where the illegal missiles are already loaded onto the aircraft. That mission file can be made with mods, or you can alter the .miz file to change the aircraft's weapons to whatever you want. You can find some tutorials on YT for how to do this without mods.

Growling should have told you how to do an intercept with an aggressive unknown bogey when you have are not weapons free from the start. It's just like in his intro, the fox two callout by the real F-14 driver in the 1980's. They go nose hot, you offset, they go nose hot again, offset to the other side. They go nose hot again, you are cleared to fire. In that incident he offset three times and then was forced to shoot to defend themselves. Brass sees the offsets and the bogey continues to be nose hot, they turn into bandits, cleared by international law to engage, you get to keep your flight status instead of stripped of rank and court martialed.

External fuel tanks. Its a lot of extra drag and if they're full a lot of extra weight.

They suck, they stay high and don't defend aggressively until the last second. If they did these videos with other human players who knew what they were doing the outcome would be very different
@@ryanbabb4857 Funnily enough, the AI used to defend Fox-3s long before they went active, but the SPAMRAAMers were saying it was unrealistic. Now we get the more "realistic" behavior we see here.
@@ryanbabb4857 Realistically, neither the AI nor a player would get a missile notification until it went pitbull if it were launched in TWS or EO mode by the flankers. Again, realistically the higher you fly the higher your missile range and thereby your probability of kill. All this has been factored in when programming the AI. The only shortfall is that unlike players, AI is unable to adjust its BVR doctrine mid scenario yet.
@@arnavm.9529 That's true about the missile notification, but the experienced bvr human players will assume they've been fired on at the same time that they fire their missiles and will defend accordingly. The AI doesn't do that.
