On the Sen 8 I skip the middle holes and I still get good lockdown. Took them out for a quick run at lunch today.
I've been picking up over the past year couple extra pairs of the OG Takumi Sen 8s in 11.5 in the Indigo Blue. Best shoes I've ever run in.

It would be cool if Adidas started offering all the shoe models in size 14! I’d even pay a premium for the large size, but geez it’s 2024. I don’t see why Adidas and ASICS don’t offer large shoe sizes in all shoes. We deserve light shoes too!

I've been trying to find the Sen 9s in Canada for some time, I waited too long and they went on sale EARLY!
Me and adidas uppers don't get on, always rub my toes on the right foot quite badly, I'll stick to the Rocket X2 and Vaporfly but great video guys!
"Carbon infused" can mean any amount of carbon dust mixed in the plastic. As little as 1% or less. Just like "fruit infused" water can contain less than 1% juice.

Some crazy deals on the TS8 still in the UK, about $90 of your dollars, the 9 is about $40 off. The TS9 is so good, Euro cross silver medalist, Emile Cairess ran a debut 2.08.07 marathon in it. He's an Adidas athlete, so that he could chose any shoe he wanted says a lot about it. Shame the 10 is a little less than the sum of the parts.
Agreed (I got an extra pair of 9's really cheap , waiting in the garage when my 8' are finally done), I believe they have 'altered' the shoe to make it more 'focused'.. (marketing and accounts likely strong armed the design team ) as you say the shoe was stepping on the toes of the companies other race day offerings .

As always, a great review. The Takumi Sen 9 was my favorite shoe for quite some time, except for the upper, which is a bit unforgiving. I was hoping the new upper would make it a better shoe, though it sounds like it may have lost some of its snappiness. Do you know of any other shoe that's as twitchy?
I thought for sure in y’all’s video from TRE that the adidas rep said the rods were carbon in v10. Its literally the only thing missing to make the undisputed king is the 5K/10K race shoe

In my opinion, TS 10 is not much different from TS 9. So either of them is good whichever is more available to you. 😊

Ordered takumi Sen 9 took them for a run today my little toe topside blistered badly on one foot after 2.5km It has been broken so sits higher than normal feet is the takumi Sen 10 upper more stretchy/accommodating ?

Glad I have 2 pairs of v8 with lots of miles left on them. I’ve saved them for races so they should take me well into v11. Robbe, I also sized down .5 in v8. Did you find the same length issue in this new one?

Should I try Takumi Sen 9 at all (it’s heavily discounted in the UK) if I have to sell my Adizero Pro 3 after 25K (in all black UK size 8) since my feet can’t handle it and brought out my plantar fasciitis also made my achilles painful AF? Great review guys btw!
Yes! It’s a great shoe. I could take it to marathon distance though I haven’t yet. But HM for sure though I’ve mostly reserved my 2 pairs for 5K/10K

Im not a fan of how Adidas do that cut-out under the pinkie toe. My foot lands right in that spot and it feels really odd for me.

Difference between Takumi Sen 10 vs Boston 12 ?
Boston will last a lot longer and can be used for different types of runs as it’s got not lightstrike pro and 2.0 stacked over each other
TS 10 is more for pace but for shorter distance
100% recommend Boston 12

How many miles do you have? I’ve found LSP has a break in factor so could that be the difference between this and the 9?
Around 30, but never felt the 8 and 9 needed to be broken in

Takumi is a true tempo middle distance racer. The Rebel doesn’t feel as aggressive.

Anyone else getting a little tired of the ubiquitous 2024 white, black, and splash of orange/yellow? Takumi Sen 10, Alphafly 3, Brooks everything, Saucony Endorphin Speed and Elite, NB SC Elite. Not a bad look, just too much of it.
Noticed it but I like it, and there will be plenty of colorways available soon after launch anyway. I don’t get why people complain about launch colorways since so many more follow

What’s the shape like? I found most Adidas quite pointy - squeeze my big toe over to the centre.

@@peakproofukThe new AF3 which I was lucky to get from a favorite running store is also very spacious in the toebox. I don’t have wide feet but it’s nice for doing a marathon. No worries about smashed toes or foot swelling.

my size is 12, in india they never discount on this shoe, waiting to get one, wish adidas made 12,13 sizes more available.. my collection is kalenji jogflow 500.1k, boston 12 and adizero SL, deviate nitro 2, nimbus 25. wierd i never used a nike in my life 🥲
