Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living outside the Philippines due to job assignment. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my CZcams Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club president and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others may actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
I have come to a point of trying to find a greater purpose in life, something beyond just being happy for a moment. Happiness in life is more meaningful if we choose to be useful, be honorable, be compassionate, and make a difference.

Indonesia has more than 700 local speakers This is one of local song in Indonesia actually batak language from north Sumatra
and Batak are divided into several sub with various languages and dialects, for example toba, karo, pak-pak, simalungun, mandailing-angkola.
And that song is mix , the first song is karo and the second is Toba

Lea simanjuntak is an A+ Singer. You have to react to her performances with David Foster. She won many international singing festivals. She is one of those few singers who are keeping themselves on the track. Not really into popularity, not so well recognized by most of the milenials but are highly highly respected by most of the real musician.

Mbiring Manggis is Karo song. And SiksikBatumanikam is from Toba. But, both are from North Sumatera, Medan

Nephi, just fyi, there are two tribes in Indonesia who have musical taste similiraties with the Philippines. They are Batak (Bataknese) in Sumatra and Ambon in East Indonesia. Many many people there can sing with powerful and beautiful voices. Both are tribes of music.

in Indonesia, medan (north sumatra) is very famous as a city of the best singers. all the seasons in Indonesian Idol, there were 8 winner Batak Singers (tribal names in Medan). and there are some that are just a mixture of hobo (not including those 8)
