Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living outside the Philippines due to job assignment. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my CZcams Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club president and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others may actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
I have come to a point of trying to find a greater purpose in life, something beyond just being happy for a moment. Happiness in life is more meaningful if we choose to be useful, be honorable, be compassionate, and make a difference.

Lea is my junior at atma jaya university in jakarta, at that time nobody knew she could sing. She was just a regular student. Even as i remember she never sang when there was a music event on our campus. At that time, her sister named sophie navita was first known as a singer and artist. After lea graduated from university, and Booomml !!! she became a singer with a strong voice. Incredible...
Actually she sing since very young age. I still remember when she was teenager she sang at our Church HKBP Sudirman Jakarta.

Lagu ini salah satu lagu yang menunjukkan hampir semua orang batak merantau, bahkan ada istilah meski kambing di kampung sendiri, tapi macan di kampung orang. Tidak hanya di Indonesia, tapi juga di luar negeri, dimana pun selalu ada orang batak. Dan lagu ini juga the must song in the bataknese wedding... ada touched moment antara orang tua dan anaknya.

Actually I was there at the concert. This is concert for benefit for my hometown Humbang Hasundutan a region from North Sumatera. Mostly audiences are donator. Donation for young talents and students. As always, Lea's voice stands out. We're proud of her as she prouds as her hometown. I think this is the first ever your reaction for Batak's song. I think most people in North Sumatra (Batak) can sing as good as Lea or maybe more. That's why they didn't standing ovation at the time. Their tought Lea's performance was just so so. Not for me as a Javanese. That was excellent. Anyway thanks Nephi for your appreciation.
