You need to scroll the crown on the Ultra 2 to get the maximum flashlight brightness. Try it on both watches and you might also "aim" them at a wall and scroll both wheels. CNET I believe did this in a cave and the Ultra 2 was considerably brighter. Love mine!

Yea they’re are both on max already. This video shows there is no difference between the two on max.
Love mine too, but they over marketed the brightness. I’m yet to see a difference on mine.

You don’t understand what I said. On the Ultra 2 after turning on the flashlight, even when set to max brightness, you then roll the crown forward it will temporarily get brighter. I don’t believe the regular Ultra does that. Try it yourself.
But I also was suggesting that the purpose of the flashlight is to light up a room, so maybe also do a video where you’re actually using it as a flashlight and roll the crown forward and compare the brightness lighting up a wall or room. You should see the brightness difference better than when they’re both just shining at the camera.

@@thewearableguy go to this video at 50 seconds and you will see the flashlight difference in one minute. czcams.com/video/7a627OEI2oU/video.htmlsi=rse3tzwvZFbTZ73w

@@Nathansmithphotography While they were both pointing at the camera for this video, don’t forget that I was also looking at them. You see through the camera what I experienced in real life. There is 0 difference between these flashlights.
I will add that to the list of videos to make. But you’ll be disappointed with the results.

@@thewearableguy last question. Did you try rolling the crown forward after turning the flashlight on on both Ultras? Don’t you see the Ultra 2 getting brighter? I do agree that it’s not a huge difference, but there definitely is a difference.

Can you compare the apple watch flashlight in a darkened room vs a Garmin instinct or Fenix flashlight, on how the room looks with it on. Not how bright the screen is looking at the screen

Is there a way to dim and adjust the light on the torch of the flashlight (to 1 nit ?) to read at night with minimum waking up lights?
“On the flip side, the Apple Watch Ultra 2's screen also gets dimmer than the first watch, going down to just one nit when you have the watch in sleep mode. I”

Man, with the screen setting at the brightest, which you used, the flashlight opens up only in 2000 nits. So it SHOULD be EXACTLY the same as Ultra 1. However, with Ultra 2 you can use the CROWN to INCREASE the brightness to 3000 nits. You must do this while using the flashlight. This is totally separate to the screen brightness in the settings...

Meaning the watch face wont increase to 3000 nits broad daylight?
