1:05 that kid paralyzed with fear with the grasshopper on him was literally me at at least one time in my life. I now have entomophobia and arachnophobia and instinctively drop into crouched shelter-in-place position whenever there is a buzzing sound around my head. I dislike that his dad just stood there filming when the kid was in distress because that's so eerily similar to the experiences that caused MY fear. RIP kiddo hope youre not traumatized for life!

You probably have a much deeper trauma that caused the phobia. I had a hardcore phobia of public toilets and mannequins/statues/animatronics until I was like 12 (I still can't handle humanoid statues/robots) because a stupid horrible evil prank with a moving mannequin screaming bloody murder in a public toilet traumatized me (it gave me actual diagnosed ptsd lmao) when I was like 3 and was struggling with an incredibly painful UTI turned kidney infection that probably came from some sort of abuse that I cannot remember because I didn't want to tell anyone about it until i literally started dying, but just having a bug on you likely isn't enough. Someone probably chased you with the bug and terrorized you. You likely don't even remember it. Or maybe it was repeated exposure in a fearful manner, as that can do it too. I didn't remember mine for a long time. They're irrational for sure, but they're always based on real extreme fears, either someone around you has a phobia and taught your developing brain to be afraid, or someone thought it was funny to scare you with bugs and traumatize you. A bug on a kids shirt that probably landed on him isn't going to cause a phobia, in fact, his reaction showed that he may have already had a phobia of bugs. That'll definitely make it worse, but I don't think it's enough to fully cause a phobia.

Poor little boy with the grasshopper on his shirt. I remember being about 4 and having a moth land on my arm. It flattened its wings against my arm. The problem was it was kind of flesh colored and blended right in so no one could figure out why I was panicking because they couldn't see it. 40 years later and I can still remember the fear I felt.
Your videos are so amazing. I never heard of a kingsnake before, learn something new everyday. That poor little kid who was so scared of the grasshopper on his shirt, no sound coming out of his mouth. Good thing someone told him to breathe, he might have fainted. he's not *exactly* far off tbh, the human body needs a decent amount of fat along with muscle to be able to fully support itself at peak strength. if you see someone with those like bulging muscles and stuff, it's bodybuilding, but it's not really healthy, their body is always a couple missed meals away from literally cannibalizing itself for nutrients.

Fear is also a part of life. You can't get rid of it, you can only get through it. That locust was not putting him in danger, whether his brain understood it or not. "Breathe" is the best advice you can give to ANYONE going through an emergency, or mental health crisis. You cannot think clearly if you're not breathing calmy.

This actually happened to my mother when she was a child. A bee randomly flew into her nose, luckily because she did not breathe the bee left without stinging.
At a picnic years ago, I had one fly into my mouth right as I took a drink. Unluckily, it stung my bottom lip... which then proceeded to swell up 3x its size for the next week. On the plus side, my wife thought it was hilarious and got a lot of laughs out of it. I didn't.
At this point, it feels like bees are used to occasionally flying up mammalian nostrils.

This plays on that trope, and even though I don't understand Korean, I've seen enough other asian media including anime to know the girl wanted to share the umbrella with him, but he was having none of it.
People love this channel because a) shows the thumbnail immediately, no click bait, and b) he gets permission for each video.

I was amazed at how easily it opened the tap. It was precise, not like other animals who paw at something randomly. The horse knew exactly how to open it. Now if you could just get it to turn it off when it is finished.

that tip on spraying rice with water before microwaving goes for a lot of things, actually! If you dont want something drying out in the microwave, sprinkle, spray or pay a damp paper towel over your food to preserve it's flavor and texture better.
That makes a lot of sense and I can literally feel my quality of life instantly improving.
Put a pan of water in the oven when you roast meat to prevent it drying out. Or put the roast is a deep dish and add water to it.
