Another tip if your busy when you get back is to put a regular sprinkler under your car for a while then moving it along your car, gets a heap of salt and sand off

I do pretty much the same but also use Salt-away all underneath the car and in the entire engine bay. Also I take the end of the hose off for the chassis rails as volume is better than pressure

12mm irrigation pipe with a stop end. Drill holes in the stop end creates a circular spray. Attach hose fitting at other end and shove it in chassis rails and any where else it will fit.

Hose up the chassis. Drink 4 beers and repeat from the other end. 4 more beers then do the other side exactly the same. I’ve worked out the science and it takes 4 beers to wash the salt out of the sand

Every time I go off road. Pressure wash then a sprinkler in multiple locations and angles for quite awhile. Try to hand wash as much of the frame as possible. Good vid, great tips on the chassis flush.

TJ, buy yourself an air compressor and a duster gun for the interior clean up. Once you've done a vacuum to remove the bulk of the sand, open all four doors and work from one side to the other and blow everything out the doors... honestly you won't regret it.

weekly deep wash, and nearly twice a year protection underneath and the frame with wax. we have plenty of salt on the roads here in winter season.
and yes everytime we go off-road we wash it too. put it on the lift and then go for it 😂

Hopefully have my new Nav any day now. First mod I’ll be doing is a underbody stone guard and a bitumen base rustproof. I’ll be doing this myself, so I’ll be removing a lot of the bolt on components like exhaust, splash guards, steps and any bash plates etc. This will give you plenty of rust protection and also acts as sound deadening (less road noise). And still of course cleaning like TJ describes. Do this for beach, dirt and mud is probably worse as it dries inside your chassis making it harder to remove and then when you drive in the rain the mud will get moistened and that will promote rust. Keep your Rigs clean and a great little episode TJ 👊

After a beach run i use the hose on jet and smash as much sand out as possible all around under the car, then i use a green sprinkler hose and put it under the car for an hour or 2 and the amount of sand that comes out is insane.

Went for my first forbie at Stockton beach, best way I reckon to clean majority of the sand in the tough places is a air compressor with a air gun attachment, before cleaning underneath with pressure washer. The again with the air gun after pressure wash. Not many ppl might own one but definitely does the trick and makes life easier!

TJ, I used to work as a detailer as a holiday job. Most of what was done really isn't worth it for the average person who doesn't have a lot of time.
Highly recommend a pressure washer with a decent foam gun. Even the most basic ones come with multiple heads. You really want to let the equipment do most of the work. Interior wise, highly recommend Aerospace 303 on hard plastic. Don't use it on screens or any clear plastics.
