The franchise would descend into Digimon territory pretty fast.
One thing I like of evolution in Pokémon over Digimon is how straightforward and restraints evolution is.
In Digimon everyone can evolve into everyone. It's too messy
Love your vids. For Mega Giratina, you could give it an ability similar to Trick Room but all the stats swap besides speed and Health and call it “Distorted Reality” or “Distorted Realm”. Explanation or pokedex entry could be that due to the mega energy, it brings some of the energy from the Distortion World, fueling its Wrath and Power

That would be broken imo. Most of the time a pokemon uses the higher attack stat (besides maybe U-turn) for all of it's attacking moves. For example Kartana is obvoisly going to run physical moves as it has 181 attack and 59 special attack. In swapping those all of it's moves are going to barley put a dent in the enemy. Then on top of that he gains +1 evasion making this impossible to kill.
They're all sick. Each and every one of em.
As for Giratina, I'd give it an ability called "Distorted Laws" or something like that, which would revert its type chart, meaning resistances become weaknesses and vice versa

Would this ability only affect Giratina or every Pokémon on the field in double and triple battles? If it affects everyone, then it basically becomes an Inverse Battle from X and Y.

Giratina's mege evolution kinda reminds me of arceus but the devil. One reason is the gold chain around the end and also its tentecals or whatever they are remind me of how the pokedex said that arceus shaped the world with its one thousand arms

For Mega Giratina, how about an ability I’ll call Distortion, which would alter super effective moves used against it by half
Maybe Mega Giratina could have an ability like "Distortion" or something where move type supereffectiveness is reversed for the opponents attacking moves. For example Girtatina's Dragon moves would still be "Super Effective" on other dragons but the opponent's Dragon moves would be "Not Very Effective" against it
Giratinas ability could be called "distortion", which rips open time and space to make all attacks 100% accurat and cancels the one turn wait for attacks like dig, shadow foce and solar beam.
It´s pretty much the cobination of what i fought would the new Dialga and Palkia get.
I don't think giving Solgaleo the fire type makes much sense as lorewise its called "the beast who devours the sun" (which is weird since it being absorbed clearly had an impact on our sun) so I think either keeping the original type or dropping the Psychic type instead would be a better option lorewise. But its a neat design otherwise. (Also that'd be like, the 3rd fire-type lion after Entei and Pyroar as mentioned, lol)
Necrozma absorbing Nebby isn't what triggers the darkness. It simply has the ability to steal light (since it gave it in the first place). It only absorbed Nebby to gain it's light in hopes of getting closer to reclaiming it's true form.
But what really doesn't make sense is how a beast that devours the sun is weak to fire and the beast that calls the moon is weak to dark - how are you calling it if you can't even handle the only time it'll show up.
@@gabriellockwood2780 You must have felt real smart writing that Dingus in bold. The sun is constantly at extremely hot temperatures and radianting solar flares. Due to move like heatwave, we know Gamefreak categorises heat and radiation under the fire type. If you're weak to it, how exactly would you devour it?
And for the record, the most abundant elements in the Sun are Hydrogen and Helium (non metals in the periodic table). Who's the real dingus, now? 😂
@@gabriellockwood2780 You're right that spirits are tied to the moon but so is the night (to a greater degree). And moves like Night Slash are categorised as Dark. Maybe check yourself before coming at people with flawed logic and aggression.

Give Mega-Giratina an ability called Spectral Distortion, which could cause any Ghost-Type moves thrown at it to also hurt the user (Mega-Giratina being the exception to this). Perhaps the damage could stack like the Toxic effect, making Ghost-Type moves risky against it.

I wonder if "what if gimmicks can be used together?" video would happen and how it would work? Like Mega Evolve pokemon can't use Z-Moves since you can't hold both items only one of them. And Mega Pokemon can D-Max/G-Max and since Max forms last for three turns you can already give Mega Pokemon a boost in stats and so and so fourth.
What if only 493 Pokemon existed throughout the franchise? Including popular ones like Zoroark, Sylveon, and Greninja(with them debuting sooner between Gens 1-4; replacing bad ones like the Seel and Ledian lines)? And if Gen 5 onwards only introduced Variants for all existing mons(Regionals, Ancestrals, etc.)? How'd the series have been like?

I had a dream a while ago that predicted Legends Z-A and one part of it was a showdown between a 200% Zygarde or something and what looked like a Mega Giratina
What if Xerneas and Yveltal had cell, 10%, 50%, & 100% formes like Zygarde?
In Snap Xerneas is implied to have a more powerful forme and is shown to have multiple formes: Illumina, a tree, a ball, & 5 lights. It also has the active/deactive formes.
To my knowledge, Yveltal only has the formes of bird and Cacoon of Darkness, so there is even more room for growth.
It would be interesting if we had to collect cells for Zygarde, sprites for Xerneas & plaques for Yveltal.
I think giratina should have an ablitiy called distorided world a move that makes the battle field distorded and boost dark and ghost type moves also, I recommend turning giratina into a dark dragon to show the evil in it

I would like to see a mega giratina, which is more enlightened, maybe a Giratina Awakened Form
Not really feeling the Giratina one tbh. For all that people assume its the devil, it's actually more like Izanami and Hades. One of the things that bugged me about Legends Arceus was how they just sort of went with the whole Pokemon Satan thing to justify its role as an antagonist. Despite the assumptions Cynthia makes in Platinum, it basically just let you handle things up until you couldn't, stopped Cyrus and invited you to battle. The whole banishment thing was never even true. They really missed some opportunities with the plot of that game.
Something I like about Origin form Giratina is that its legs and tentacles seem pretty functional. The tentacles can grab and pull things in while the short rib-like ones can hold prey like a centipede would. Instead of leaning into those design elements, this design just sort of makes naked Giratina and sticks the tentacles on the tip of its tail. How is it even supposed to grab anything with that positioning? The rest of its body is in the way. And where did the looping stripes go? The red accents are meant to glow like the lines and gems on Dialga and Palkia. Overall that one feels like a downgrade.
I would've preferred something going more in the direction of Giratina's ability to become shadowy like when it confronts Cyrus, as well as a non Satan underworld theming. It's basically the original ghost. Contrast the shadows with the glowing eyes and stripes. Add some death imagery like getting the mandibles to evoke scythes or guillotines and making the remaining solid body parts seem more like a skeleton. If the grey is getting phased out, swapping the gold for platinum would help keep platinum in the design.
Giratina already had the 666 thing going on with its limbs, so doing it with the stats too seems excessive. I always found that overrated as a way to signal something as demonic. There's some merit to giving it balanced stats if going with one mega but the form gimmick was meant to pivot between attack and defense focused stat distribution. Either giving Giratina a mega for each form to keep that or focusing on offense for an Origin form inspired mega would be good options too.
Changing Giratina's typing doesn't seem like it'd be a good idea. You'd just lose out on STAB and add more weaknesses. Maybe an ability that combines levitate with some other effect. Maybe cursed body?
I like how Solgaleo and Silvally had relatively small design changes that still had a noticeable impact, enhancing the existing design instead of overwriting it.

I have a great idea for Mega Giratina new signature ability! I call it “Devil’s Curse”.
What it does is when you use Giratina’s Shadow Force, it will put a curse on all opposing Pokemon just like the move Curse, and to add salt to the wound, Giratina will lose none of his HP when it activates. And if the opposing Pokemon is already cursed, when uses it again it will have the same as Spite or Cursed Body.
How’s that for an ability?

I think Giratina should’ve retained more of the gold parts on it when mega evolving. It looks incredible, it just looks a bit naked with less gold on it.

I’m loving mega Giratina!!! When it comes to abilities I’d imagine a cool one would be something cool like “heart of the void” or “soul of distortion” which would allow it to heal for a percentage of any and all dark and/or ghost type moves used against it or present on the battlefield
I am particularly fond of Mega Giratina. He looks so hellish but still like a pokemon
I'd keep Mega Solgaleo's original typing and make it's Ability something like...
Suneater: Fire-Type Moves heal this Pokémon. This Pokémon's Attack or Special Attack stat is increased 2 Stages (whichever is higher) along with it's Speed stat increasing 1 stage whilst the sun is harsh via Sunny Day, Drought, or Desolate Land.

5:00 how would work his signature move, multi-attack? Would change to the most effective type against the opponent? Or just always deal super-effective damage, like Arceus and unown in Legends Arceus?
I imagine that it's type would line up with whatever Silvally's secondary type is at the time!
I think mega Solgaleo would be better if he had an abillity that gives him extra power on fire moves, like the following:
COMIC HEAT: This pokémon fire type moves do 50% more damage and have a 20% chance of burning the foe
Solgaleo is a steel type because there's no metal type. In a perfect world, Solgaleo as the Sun pokemon would be a fire metal type, with fire being a reference to the sun based powers and metal being a reference to the golden lion symbolizing the sun in Alchemy, which is what Solgaleo was based on.

Some good designs, but they all aren't all the right quality
Solgaleo looks good, but your choice to replace it's steel type with a fire type is not a good idea. Not only is the steel type there for a reason (as you admitted), but it's too ingrained into it's move set; I mean even it's signature move is steel type. I would say swapping out the psychic type with the fire type would work better, but the psychic type is tied more to it's more cosmic origin/theme/design
Disregarding any argument I have on if Silvally should be counted as a legendary, I think the mega evolution could use a little more work. What you have is good, but I think it needs a little more as it feels more like a powered up form then a true mega evolution.
Ogerpon looks too much the same and the changes to it's appearance feel more subtle if anything. You said the mask fused to Ogerpon, perhaps show it in more detail
I'm not sure how I feel about Giratina, namely how I feel it could work as is if I had some more info. Right now it looks like a less impressive version of it's origin form, but the way it's body ends at that ring kind of makes me feel that this is an unfinished design. I can also see this working if that ring is like a portal to the distortion world and what we're seeing is what's sticking out, or if it can altar and distort it's body. I would also like to see how big or small this it to Giratana's two forms

I would have given both Ogerpon and Deoxys Stance Change as a mega ability and change the form based on the type of attack you want to use
How many legendary without mega are left
Mega Giratina's ability should lower all pokemon's attack and special attack by 1 stage cause that thing is scary. Maybe only allow it to activate one time.
Or combine intimidate and pressure, as both simulate fear to me.
If Sogaleo gets a mega, I'd love to Lunala. I'd remove the Psychic type though for the megas. Fire/Steel for Solgaleo and Dark/Ghost for Lunala.
I think Giratina should be modeled after a biblically accurate angel, playing off of the lore that the devil is a fallen angel
Honestly I want the creation trio to have abilities fitting their theme just like the weathet trio but sadly we don't so if we have mega giritina give him an ability that is akin to inverse battles while he is on the field.

Mega Giratina should get the ability "Warped World" where all abilities of other Pokemon are nullified, Weather and Terrain moves are also nullified and Mega Giratina is also immune to stat altering and status effect moves.
The idea behind this is that when faced against the one Pokemon who comes from a world where normal rules of the universe don't apply and at it's peak no less, there are no advantages you can have and the only way to win is if you're Pokemon are strong enough.
I like this because it's ability is basicly Neutralizing Gas+ and has a BST of 780 as opposed to Weezings 490. Making it viable to run this with Archeops, Slaking, and Regigigas.
As I've said MANY times in comments on your videos, you really miss the point of why the gens 3 and 4 box Legendaries got the "Mega" forms, it makes no sense to give such forms to all Legendaries.
Giratina is based on antimatter, NOT the devil. Why do people still are fixated on that idea?

Honestly, it’s a toss up between Mega Silvally and Giratina for me. I mean, I like the concept of Mega Sillvally inheriting/utilizing more of Arceus’ qualities and abilities, like the ring around the mid section and maintaining the normal typing while gaining a secondary one.
With Mega Giratina, I like how chaotic its design looks. Kinda reminds me of G-Max Eternatus with its otherworldly appearance.
