Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is a chemical that's commonly used in soaps, shampoos, shower gels and toothpaste. It works as a surfactant, trapping oil-based dirt so that it can be rinsed away with water.

And also, is there any other preservatives and thickener i can use apart from salt? You also talked about shampoo, what can be added to it to make it become shampoo? I didn't get the measurements of the chemicals to use, how do i know the quantity of chemicals to use when producing mine? Thanks.
It can be used for washing clothes too. For this particular production that requires salt, preservatives will not be needed because no matter how long it stays, it won’t go bad. The quantities are listed in the description box
