Avatar Flight with the Mountain Banshees

- One of the most beautiful scenes in James Cameron's movie Avatar. Enjoy a similar experience with a mix of "Eloi" from Hollywood's The Time Machine and from Avatar's OST "Jake's First Flight". These two tracks worked perfectly for this scene!

R.I.P. James Horner. One of the finest musician of our time.

Yeah... He was.

Music for the next Avatar films won't be the same without him behind it
This scene always makes me cry. Represents perfectly the feeling of freedom and flying .
@Taylor darkness ??
🧐🏳️🌈?
As someone who's gone flying in lucid dreams, with the full sensation of it... There's nothing better in life. And I mean *nothing* .

people always complain about this movie not having any originality in the story, which i can understand. But i think we as a society forget about our dark history and how this stuff STILL happens to this day. This is a reminder to stop repeating the history of violence and war. Its very hard to come up with a new way to tell this kind of story, and James Cameron found a perfect new way of telling this kind of story.
Olivia Kim yeah but the reason we have military bases in our city is so that enemy Jets don't cross the border. Because you don't want jets attacking a building right?
protecting your people is was thing but taking someone's land and killing off their ppl is another. Military bases are fine as long as they're fighting for a noble cause
Olivia Kim the sad thing is that we don't really learn, but I adore this film and its theme
😄
Olivia Kim I LOVE THIS MOVIE I JUST CANT UNDERSTAND WHY PPL CANT WATCH IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN IVE Watches this 14 TIMES AND STILL THE ANIMATION IS AWESOME UGH
Avatar was an amazing experience, nothing comes close to it
So true! I remember coming out of the theater after seeing it - the cars and parking lot looked so strange. In my lifetime only the original Star Wars and Fury Road have been as immersive. Wish we had more movies like this.

Who else wishes they could ride a banshee?
Me!
Me, totally ❤️
Im working on the name Thought of a name yet bud?
You can. Go to Animal Kingdom and ride Flight of Passage. Don't watch the video or it'll spoil it and you'll never get the experience of not knowing where your banshee will take you.
Me. My banshees name would be nari
I just noticed that when jake waved to neytiri and almost fell he looked really embarrassed afterwards and it was just the most endearing thing
exactly jake was like OMG that was so embarrassed.
Jake died fr omg url run off
Fortunately jake did not fall, but neytiri did fell for him right after that scene 0:57
I know that moment was funny! It was during that moment that Jake started to realize that he was truly starting to fall in love with Neytiri (even if she was supposed to be mated to Tsu’tey at the time…)
@@noelleanglade1412 actually it's the other way round lol. This is the part when Neytiri truly falls for him.
The feels and the experience, you won't get this kind of feel in any marvel movie.
Agreed. It's not just a movie it's an amazing experience which will never happen again. I know there's a sequel but for now this is a classic. I hate most of the marvel fans that they're hating this movie because it's highest grossing movie not infinity war
Absolutely. Avatar is a film of extraordinary vision, design, and beauty.... The Marvel films are simply not...
I love Marvel and this movie, not cool to stereotype.
Stupid comparison, you people really can't enjoy something without shitting on something else
It feeels like heaven
i wish our world were a little more adventurous like this(or at least had creatures you could fly on like the banshee)
Ashley Nagy At Animal kingdom you can ride a banshee
@Ayush Tripathi Then leave
We have horses and It feels fantastic riding on them... But yes, unfortunately there Is no flying animal big enough for us to ride on.
We don't deserve good things because we already destroyed almost all of it.

This scene unifies so many emotions - freedom, adventure and love.
Nav'is are just re-engineered primates. Not feliformae neither felidae.
.
Who sold them to us as different to primates ? They are not ! All the exobiology schemes get thrown over the window. In fact, actual dogs living on planet Earth today show more interesting mental drifting xd.
This scene changed how i look at life. Theres so much more that we can do, can be. We are not living life to its fullest potential.

This part is absolutely gorgeous and relaxing, James Horner is a genius!
The music here isn't even James Horner until the last 30 seconds, it's from The Time Machine - Klaus Badelt.

The music gives me goosebumps 😬😬
Not having seen this for several years, OMG, the music... at 1:25 as the electronic pads and percussion fades in, replacing the native chanting ... the soaring chord progressions ... it is sooo beautifully done!
It should be pointed out the music up until that point is not from Avatar but from The Time Machine. It is a really good edit though.
@@birdsofafeather8368 Oh wow! I thought I had heard that music 'somewhere else' but wasn't sure. Strange how The Time Machine was a relatively forgettable movie - but somehow managed to have a rousing soundtrack at the same time.
Guys.. This is not a James Horner Tracker.. The track is from the movie Time Machine and is composed by Klaus Badlet
Exactly what i whas tincking

I find it so hard to believe this movie came out in 2009
This is by far the best scene in the whole movie--- I even used it for a school project.
How did you use it and what was your grade?

Music Name: *The Eloi Chants*
The most visually beautiful film ever made and the best music. Everything is amazing. 🌏
This clip alone depicts James Cameron's genius: the amazing combination between incredible vfx, character's emotions, flying sensation like any other film, nature sentation like any other film, imagination at its finest (waterfalls coming from floating islands, beautifully designed and coloured creatures, etc) all combined with the majestic score of James Horner.
A masterpiece. People who cannot accept can gp back to earth 😐
Haha exactly! 💙🙏🏽
It's a nice touch how their hind legs are also wings, gives them a Microraptor vibe
For me the best scene of the film and one of my favourite scenes ever 😀
This was the best ride by far ate Disney world
I like your name 😂
This gets me every time. Visuals, music, acting, perfect balance, ecstatic perfection.
my favourite all time movie. it's so unique.
James Cameron: the visionary
The masterful change in camera angles and zoom, showing not only how the character feels flying for the first time. The amount of background layers showing how vast this world is. The freedom and nature sensation; all perfectly combined with the beautiful score. Which starts soothing and you can hear the air, and then, as Jack becomes more confident, it elevates. (I'm not even mentioning the CGI on the avatars: for those who think that this MASTERPIECE is "good" just because of the CGI. The EXECUTION of such things is not a easy task, you.. so called "critics"...)
You can take a lot of elements from this work of art, but I believe two of its most important (and perfectly depicted) are: first, the love and respect for nature itself; and second, the realization of what your true place in the world is. As Jack finally accomplished.
I would fall in love with someone that beautiful and special like Neytiri and be a Warrior
Who else of hyped for Avatar 2! It focuses more on the seas of Pandora so I can’t wait so see what awesome creatures live in the Pandora oceans!
Mountain Banshees look so beautiful. I would love to live in a world like this.
Watching this in IMAX 3D was and is the greatest movie-going experience of my life
Some of the songs from Time Machine work so well in this, this is even more proof
this music makes me cry with joy
Damn, they work perfect.
this scene give me chills first time i watch it
I wish they re-released this at theaters.

Most beautiful scene ever!!
No words can’t explain about Avatar music
"I may have sucked at riding a horse, but I was born for this!"
The opening of this sequence, the score and song from the time machine film

Gorgeous creature design on the banshees, aerodynamic, alien and just beautiful!
@1:33 i feel like crying whenever i hear that flute. it's so heavenly music for me i feel like im flying with that Banshee. This movie is really an experience.
Do you know the name that music? How can I find it?
@@sakalarbenden : I think the DVD of the movie is still for sale, it would have it on that.
I watched this and the very next night I had the best dream of my life,I was riding on a banshee and got to see Pandora with this music in the background.
That music. RIP James. You are dearly missed maestro.
Astounding mix of scenes and music really captures the expression of the moment in the film where they fly together for the first time ,, Avatars "reflective" expression has its roots in history of our own Native peoples ,, there are 5 clans or tribes represented in the Avatar universe (there is also a refection in the 5 flying in formation on Ikran) ,, take a look at the History of the Haudenosaunee and the story of the great peacemaker as well as the Role "Jake Swamp" plays in there culture as well as some interesting hidden real world history (examples on youtube) thank you very much for sharing .
If Avatar and Titanic were re-released as often as Gone With The Wind, I think they could easily be the most popular films
AVATAR got rereleased on September 23rd actually just in time for AVATAR: The Way of Water! (I don’t know how much longer it will be out…) but if you do go see it right after the main credits (not the super long rolling credits but the short quick ones) they have a scene from the upcoming sequel shown as well!
Even the human being is the most evolved creature on earth can not see like an eagle, smell like a dog or fly like a bird.....we are very limited.....
However, few animals can compete with out brains, or the physical stamina we have.
+Nemrai Physical stamina that we have? what
+Dylan 1888
A Killer Whale?
+Salasaar Karikiss What? Most animals have more stamina then humans
+Nemrai Humans can outrun horses? hahaha maybe a very select few but not the average man
If you are looking for the music that is put over this scene, it is a song called Eloi from The Time Machine (2002).
It is in the soundtrack by Klaus Badelt.
Eloi and the song Godspeed sound similar, but I believe that Eloi is the song in the video.
Avatar is one of the joys in life for me. I’m in love with this song too.
yeah you right, the first one is eloi by klaus badelt

Plot: simple
Characters: sometimes even cliche.
Visuals, Backgrounds, Culture and MUSIC: OUTSTANDING!
💖🎶💗💞😍👌💟
Even a simple plot can be good.
@@Merryianna No one stated otherwise. And also it has to do with what the creator aims to show or where he focuses to. For example James Cameron, even from the Titanic gave the impression that he counts more on background planning and research as well as powerful scenes instead of complicated plot or overly complicated characters. It is a different approach that's all. Not all series and movies need to have Death Note like plot twists to be good.
Avatar as well as Titanic had very simple plots and sometimes even cliché characters but the impact the scenes had for us, such as the destruction of Hometree or the sinking of the Titanic were unquestionable as well as the inspiration behind them and the research he did for them. This is just his approach.
After the the ride at Disney, I love this even more!!!😱
Sigh. Why wasn’t I born into this world 🤣
Para mi es un culto, jamas imagine que se podia llegar a esa perfeccion cinematografica. Gracias Sr. Cameron

Everybody! I won't even compare Marvel with Mission impossible films let alone Avatar.
The best scene ever. Fly with avatar!!
I am in heaven
I remember in the scene where the doctor/scientist dies and goes into 'Eywa' the "Great Mother". You could hear all the Souls that had left the physical realm talking to each other there. The doctor/scientist went into that dimension and became a part of that realm. I know it's the same thing with we so-called humans. When slipping out of these bodies we also go into another dimension. One that is more preferred by our real nature. We are Spirits, and when leaving the prison of Earth though it's beautiful there is a realm that is more beautiful and everlasting. This movie is only a mirrored reflection of the things to come.
True love - I can watch it time after time - The music is fabulous and timeless
I remember first time watch this movie and i can't move on for a week. Seriously!
I just noticed this... Other than the Na' Vi and that helicopter lizard, the Banshee is the only quadruped on Pandora. All other life forms are hexopods.
