Railfanning Encinitas on September 30,2023 feat Daytime SDGBAR BNSF train, hornshows, and quills!

- This video was taken of September 30,2023. This video is in Encinitas with a lot of very interesting weather points of the day. It went from drizzle to mostly cloudy; mostly cloudy to a little drizzle again; drizzle to a huge pocket of rain for half an hour; then finally the sun almost parallel to the horizon. This features an insane amount of horn action and loudness! This day was history in the making for sure with the crazy amount of quill shows, horn shows, and a lot of symphonic sequences from southbound Amtrak trains. This video is also a huge mile stone in terms of one catch. I hope you enjoy this video!

Only if you are able to get a read on a scanner. Also can look at the San Diego and San Juan Capistrano Railcam.
Question, im going to California soon, is their any specific time the BNSF train shows up? And what is the name of this corridor to? 😅
@@collinstrains5176 the corridor which is all the way from San Diego to San Luis Obispo is the LosSan Corridor while broken up into segments the San Diego Subdivision from San Onofre to San Diego; Orange Subdivision is from San Clemente to Fullerton; Fullerton to Los Angeles(Commerce) is a segment of the San Bernardino Subdivision I believe. Alameda Corridor is Los Angeles and north where the Metrolink Antelope Valley Line and Ventura County line operate along with the 700 series Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains. Also BNSF trains are a lot more frequent on the San Bernardino Subdivision. Fullerton- Commerce is a lot of BNSF action on the Lossan Corridor. The BNSF that goes through to San Diego usually goes from Barstow to the Olive Subdivision to get to the Orange Subdivision in order to get to San Diego. Those trains are very inconsistent on the schedule since they are lower priority than Amtrak, Metrolink and NCTD Coaster. Mostly late at night when there’s significantly less passenger trains on the line. On occasion it can run during the day.

@@collinstrains5176 Encinitas is a fun place to railfan at while Carlsbad Village is my favorite spot to railfan on the San Diego Subdivision. The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains are much faster there than Encinitas.
