Thanks for the video. It's definitely a two person job. I had to get my wife on the bar! I think it's best to disconnect both shock absorbers. Also the car needs to be jacked up high enough to be able to push the bar down. It's only a case of, if it's not high enough, jack it up a bit more (with axle stands)

Hi . I have a 3008 mk1 2010 and my back shock absorber is gone. I gave a duct in shock hydraulic or something. It's possible to put a normal shock? I see on video you have normal one's? It's to expensive hydraulic ones. 5008 and 3008 it's almost same car. Thx

I had a mechanic replace both springs. But they didn’t fit the lower dampers which slip on the coil seen at 3:47. Should I ask them to refit both springs ? What’s the effect of not putting them on?
Its going to rub on to the both the body and at the bottom on to the trailing arm. Will make banging Noise n will rust the car body in future. Also these end caps on both side will stop the spring from moving about n will keep them in the slot.
@@diykhan thanks! I went back and they refitted the damper on both sides. However since the coils were replaced there is now an intermittent ‘twanging’ sound from the back of the car! Do the springs bed in with time or is there anything to check?
