- Watch RFA Stirling Castle, minehunting mothership, and HMS Iron Duke, frigate, outbound from His Majesty's Naval Base Devonport.
RFA Stirling Castle (M01) is a mothership being used as a forward operating base to test autonomous mine counter-measures. An example of it's operations include deploying drones for the surveillance and protection of underwater cables and other infrastructure at sea.
HMS Iron Duke is a Duke-class/Type 23 frigate with the Royal Navy that was also outbound around the same time.

🇬🇧🦋Dad served on minesweeper for many years … a brave role in RN ..Keep safe everyone 🦋🇬🇧
Wow they completely removed the Harpoon canisters. Crazy she’s putting to sea with no anti-ship missiles.

Cobra, have you any advice as to how the minesweeper works please? I see a Craine on the stern. Or Bow 😂 ty
Ah Devils Point ❤
Yes 😎
Where are they going ?
Gibraltar for a "Diplomatic Mission" Popping Off at Cadiz on the way.
Why the blue hull and not grey?
Probs to disguise themselves against subs
🤯Mutha💐🫡🙏
Is that the British fleet today
Its amazing to think that by the end of WW2 the Royal Navy had 65 aircraft carriers of all type, including 14 fleet carriers.
Why is this minesweeper Blue and not the traditional Navy Grey?
It’s an RFA operated auxiliary, not a warship. Provides mobile base support for the minehunters.
